You have a knack for assembling unique and effective textures out of instruments that I would have never considered working together! There is so much detail in these textures, I love all of the interesting inner voices! And you're getting great work out of your collaborators; everyone did amazingly! To cap it off, all your inspired choices are held together by a mix that's cohesive and rich! I'm so glad you could join us for this competition again!
I can honestly say you four are among the musicians that give me real chills when I listen to you. The arrangement is complex and yet crystal clear, the instrumentation is daring (two dulcimers, F yeah !) and the tune shines perhaps more even than the original. I'm having a blast !
this is so beautiful 😭 i love the section at 1:48 especially, with the alternating cello pizz / soprano sax, and the staggered entries at 3:43. the combination of the synth and unique acoustic timbres is also done so well!!
Thanks! The cello pizz / sop sax staccato section is one of my favorites in this arrangement as well. I think all the elements of it turned out particularly well.
