FF12 was probably the best FF game in the series, great story and graphics, so much to do in it, great battle system, most important Balthier, a really cool character, FF12 was going in the right direction, it was a masterpiece of a game, the generation of gamers let it down, it got bad reviews from a generation of gamers that don't know what a good game is.. and thanks to that generation we get games like FF13 because FF12 gave us everything and they think we didn't like it... any1 who likes and knows a good game would say FF12 was great.. when they give us something good we must appreciate it or they'll give us something different and it won't be half as good
Really good voice acting that you often don't see in Final Fantasy. I was hoping this was going to be a turning point for that in the series, but Final Fantasy XIII didn't blow me away in that regard, and the new FFXV seems pretty cringe-inducing too. I loved Balthier's voice work and I wish his voice actor could be recurring in Final Fantasy.
when i first played this i thought it was one of the worst. i was not used to the new battle system as a finalfantasy gamer used to ATB. the story was more of the complexities in politics rather than the usual romance plot. but 5hrs through the game later i had about 200hrs of gameplay! definitely one of the best.
+glam Rockr For me it was actually the gameplay that got me into the game. The story always bothered me and it still does because I just look at it as almost like an Eastern Star Wars. I mean it is no surprise that Balthier was a favorite character since him and Fran were pretty much Han and Chewbacca lol. Sad thing is that I still connected more with these characters than I did with XIII's characters.
glam Rockr Hope was probably the character who had the potential to make everything worth it story-wise but they dropped the ball with his character and made him the typical angsty youngster
Yes, it's Balthier, and people shouldn't say that, but don't hate on Fenris. Fenris is an amazing character; don't be rude just because he can be a bit grumpy.
