Say what you like about the XIII Trilogy (I love them, personally, XIII-2's my favourite 'modern' FF game), but there's no denying that these games were always visually insane for their time, they still hold up today.
I came across a song video for Academia City about a month ago, and I couldn't believe the picture was actually in the game (never played FFXIII-2). I asked myself just how explorable and vast it really is...and then I found this video. This is incredible even for 2011!
I've been saying for years this is one of the best FF games in the series when i finished it i got a sense of satisfaction that was missing from the series since FFX.
wow, I only remember the central parts and the walkway, I have no memory of those side areas. I couldn’t appreciate how much effort went into academia since I never took the time to take it all in gradually
The sound tracks of this game is a top 10. All the other games from finals fantasy xiii trilogy to the old generation of the legend of zelda have beautiful songs
One could imagine. FXIII Trilogy and FFXV were actually set in the same universe earlier on. Look up Final Fantasy Versus XIII to get more info on this.
The music and atmosphere in FF13-2 is awesome, for $19.99 on PC Steam or Xbox don't have much to lose maybe you'll like it. Expectations being checked and all.
bruh i hated ffxiii back then - never played more than 10 minutes and started with xiii-2 JUST because of the ost and the demo . It still is to this day one, if not my favorite ff ever. Oh and ffxiii was actually not trash at all. I was just very close minded
Why not? Compared to the primitive 3D graphics from the PlayStation 1 or Nintendo 64, the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 while using HDMI can do some extremely complex 3D graphics that can still be a technical and artistic marvel today.
watching this video, realizing it came out back in 2011 I can't stop thinking about how the game engine managed to handle everything. My best guess, it is using a lot of Occlusion Culling method to reduce hardware usage. Basically un-render objects that's not visible to player's camera
Well look at the average city. You typically walk through roads and corridors until you enter buildings. And even in buildings, there are a lot of corridors and stairways. So, it's not really too unrealistic if you look at it like that, wouldn't you say?
it would be nice if only hk is few percent as gd as this :p but ive some sort of height fear and id probably pass out on the sight of walking through these roads bc theres no fences lol
There may be differences depending on the person. Personally, I think the artwork and design are the best since 7, in contrast to the unfortunate gameplay of 13.
@@희재김-p8r main problem with 16 is that it’s not as vibrant as this one was. The colors in 16 tend to bleed into one another. Hell ff13vs seems to have had better art than 16
16 is not amazing looking even by ps4 standards there are better looking games, when it comes to the art IDK 16 has uninspired character designs but some of the locations are nice looking
@@alumlovescake ff16 went game of thrones and while it’s not bad main problem is it looks the same no matter how much you look at it. There only so many hills and dunes you can look at before you ask yourself where the variety in the world itself
@@iikatinggangsengii2471 Broo I have a love hate relationship with that game, I love it to death but never beat it bcuz of the damn hell gate is impossible for me, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong on that fight
