As someone thats tried to learn this run, FFXIII i think is one of the most technical and awesome runs to watch. Trust me, those dodges S U C K to learn and it takes a lot to know just how enemies move and behave
Why tho? It's just so bad all around, except the one village with cool music, and fights being sidegrade from amazing FFXII fight mechanics. I really struggle to name another upside to this game.
The story, the characters, the scenery and the musics for me. I would agree that gameplay is okeyish not bad but not transanding either and indeed you are on a rail except for one large field but if that's fine by you the game turns out to be very poethicly immersive and captivating for some like I did. I was more of an experience simmilar to an interactive movie more than anything else, I quite enjoyed that ethereal feeling it gave me as a whole, I even surprised myself doing it all over just because of the moods throughout the game, I still remember that raining scene where Zazz and Vanille are talking to each other in the rain at a train station as tension washes off soothing, that sort of feel and I still got some envirronments burned intro my memory they were just so beautiful, I didn't enjoyed XIII-2 or Lignting Returns nearly as much if not at all compared to it, tells you alot about how taste is a very personal thing some agree some don't, It's just a matter of sensation only a few games marked me without me knowing really why, they just fit within my brain chemistry would be my best guess, it triggers the right receptors and tickle my senses well enough for me to be at home playing it.
