WeskAlber. I wanted to tell you that you, sir, are an absolute legend. The work you put into these videos is absolutely amazing. I just wanted to acknowledge that personally, because I honestly feel like you deserve it and more. Thank you for making this and all the other guides you do. You're amazing and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
Thank you. Very helpful, seeing as how I come from WoW and haven't experienced such content-rich professions before, Fishing looked especially confusing to me. :D I think I understand it a bit better now!
Thank the gods for your guide dude. Was watching other ones and they throw around a lot of terms and stuff like it’s things I should already know. As a complete newbie to fishing this was great
I leveled fishing to 80 without fishing (except for the few times you have no choice). I just did leve quests and grand company supply, buying the fish I need from the market, lol.
This video saved my life and made fishing in FFXIV something to look forward too. I did a couple of ocean tours and really enjoyed the Fishing EXP boosts. Thanks to spectral currents, my fishing log is 60% full and Arora Azala, my main, is now a Level 42 Fisherwoman. I can't wait to see you put up more of these videos. I am going to get the trophy for Veteran Fisher very soon thanks to ocean fishing. I also did all of the quests up to the Level 40 one, and that quest sucks because the weather hates me and it never rains. :(
do you have guide video for inventory management? like, what should we keep, sell, discard, etc. also retainer inventory management. I would like to learn that
Oceanfishing is great, but levequest are even better if you are looking for levels. The southshroud quarrymill levequests 20/25 are super easy and will take you all the way to 50 in a few hours.
29:00 as a new player I'm glad I saw this. I had no idea NPCs sell those exact accessories. I checked the market board to see what upgrades I could get, and other players sells these same accessories for 5,000 to 20,000 gil each. Thankfully I didn't buy any because that was obviously ridiculous.. I can't believe scumbags are doing that to new players.
I was at the 11 minute mark when you were selling fish and I wanted to ask: maybe we could get a video in the future on inventory management/how you manage your inventory? I’ve been playing for like 4 months now and I’ve been struggling to keep my inventory not cluttered with all my crafting items and such... Both of my retainers are almost full too x.x
The nice thing about fishing in FF14 is that you can literally just catch fish and cook them if you want, or you can go super deep into the meta. Either way you can still max the skill out and enjoy it.
Wesk: "Our combat skills are... lacking... I mean, we're using a fish to kill enemies." ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kZJHC7_DZ_8.html Go to 7:06, Wesk. You'll vomit while laughing. XD
if youre DoL classes does that mean you also plan on doing DoH? asking because i feel like im missing something in crafting lol also oh my, I feel like getting one of those gathering XP boosters from my GC and picking up fishing to see how fast the levels come in in one fishing trip i hit 15 levels from level 10 so id say that's pretty good progress lol
There's a reason this is FSH 1-49... and I ended it at 51. EXP aint hard to get lol. As for crafting, yeah I'll have a video or three on those classes in this specific series
I've put off Fisher for the longest time. With all the patches is Fisher much better? I'd hate to get stuck with a class quest and won't be able to continue.
Wait, patience increases you chance of getting a higher quality fish, and you negate the downside by using the hook for the appropriate size. I thought size and quality were the same thing? Why would you ever use patience with the small hook?
Size of a specific fish and the length in ilms aren't the same. A shrimp is never going to be 100 yalms. It'll always be an ilm, and always use the small hookset. Even the biggest, most HQ shrimp will still use the small hookset because it is still small. A big shrimp is HQ, but it's still a shrimp. That's why two hooks
