TP Tickets would be my suggestion. Do ARR hunt bills and turn the currency from it for the tickets. it takes very little time to complete it.

I'm so happy you had the opportunity to be a part of the Media Tour! It's very well deserved and you've earned your spot to be a part of it! I'm looking forward to Pictomancer and how fun and quirky the moves and motifs are. I have a fun time optimizing jobs and seeing where I can upkeep and this job makes a fresh new change that I've been wanting to see.

As a note, Summoner had to meet the melee accuracy cap not the caster one, because the pet autos.

First and foremost i enjoyed this video and recognize and respect your opinion on samurais job identity though it differs from mine. As someone who has played SAM since it was released, kaitens removal was a huge letdown and did effect sam job identity. Sam's identity was bringing the biggest hits possible. Kaiten buffing Midare up to 1200 potency was amazing especially when Tsubame copied that buffed potency. When kaiten was removed, kenki essentially became a shinten bar. No thought had to go into kenki management anymore. Just hit shinten when you have 30-35 kenki just in case you need to disengage with your leap back ability (honestly get Gyoten and Yaten confused). With DT I think they've alleviated some of the issues with kaiten being gone with the enhanced meikyo biff giving Tendo which ups the potency to 1k for midare. Kenki management is still lame because shinten/senei/guren only cost 25 (which you get for just getting 1 sticker) and Zanshin you get all the kenkik you need from Ikishoten. Kaiten you had to plan for and wanted to make sure you have enough kenki to do guren/senei and Kaiten your Midare.

@WeskAlber ikishoten provides a ton of kenki. But since Kaitens removal the kenki gauge is all but a shinten gauge. Using shinten too much before a kaiten midare provided a fail state, potency loss or whatever you want to call it. I don't think that kaiten is ever coming back (I can hope and dream that it does) but the crux of my argument was it's removal did take away from its job identity.

I don't even agree that using Shinten could lead to a Kaiten fail state. Combos give so much Kenki it's easy to have a Kaiten.

honestly i would suggest keeping wanderers trail for level 89, rather than 80 Also one important thing u missed was sidequests. You can stock up a full questlog and then sent them all in at dawntrail release for about half a level also for 81-90, waht about the deep dungeon?

It depends on how much you prepare. For those that dont stock up on quests, turning in wandering tails to get to 81 is very good. That is because you can start doing dungeons right away. It really depends on the player, how much they prepared, what their goals are.. etc...

I'm sorry, got a question if someone can answer. Why does level 60 rotation not have tornado kick? Am I misunderstanding something? Or does one of the other three just turn into tornado kick? Not 60 yet, just looking ahead.

Physically impossible to use Tornado Kick in an opener. Re-opener at minimum. You need both Nadi filled before TK is possible. Timestamp: 33:17

I sat down with the tooltips some people shared and a piece of paper and mapped out my Crosshotbars(PS4 player) for Viper and Pictomancer. I have my hot bars set so Bar 1 is Single Target, bar 2 is AoE (with things you use in both, such as Dragonfire Dive being in the same spot on both) and bar 3(accessed through both rear triggers pressed one after the other) is utility stuff(feint addle and the like) Pictomancer came up to only 17 slots filled on bar 1(smudge and Tempera coat went on the utility bar) and viper filled only 11! Unless I’m mistaken, this puts viper at the lowest button count of any job

1st off I normally don’t write this kind of comment but after hearing your thoughts I was so touched by your words that I have too. I totally understand your feelings unworthiness and thinking that you could never be worth enough to be treated nicely/Never be worth anything to anyone. It’s a hard deep emotional feeling to shake and it just comes whenever it pleases. You just feel like nothing you do is worth it and everyone is just saying they like it, but it’s not good enough to yourself and question everything. One thing that personally helps me in those moments is to remember that if people can love me for who I am as a person and the things I do, then I should care about myself too. I’ve had bad depression and been in holes that feel endless after fighting work burnout and worthlessness. But when I take a deep breath and take some time to think and for reals it can take a bit before I feel better. But It helps me remember everything will be ok and I just gotta do MY best! 😊 I know It sounds cliché like a silly power of friendship moment and tbh it kinda is. but it really is true! I also wanna say you absolutely deserve all of it Wesk! You’re a hero to me and so many other FFXIV Players. Heck I’d never be a good mentor or actually clear P9S & P10S without your guides and video clears! Never let anyone say you’re not worth anything, because you’re worth everything to us! 💚 Keep up the fine work Wesk!

It's not TOTALLY lucrative, but you can also do all of your daily hunt bills in shadowbringers areas, or endwalker at 90 jobs.

For those struggling to learn Loom for challenge #14, Blob in the Woods, you can also use Bomb Toss (learned from Goblin gamblers outside Lominsa) to shoot around corners and safely destroy the blobs without line of sight. Problem being, in act 2, the hit you with Heavy THROUGH the wall as soon as you damage them. For some reason. So you have to kill one, wait for heavy to pass, move, then repeat.

A bit late, but for FOMO limitations: Possibly doing "waves" of restoration. Every month or so, a new group of people can start the Garlemald restoration together. A mix of Ishgard & Doma Enclave.

MNK: ive never liked any iteration of monk, so pass. DRG: looks fine, its 2-5 part combos dont work for how i like to organize my hotbars, ill have to actually play it in order to formulate a real opinion NIN: looks like its still ninja SAM: i think it was at its best in SHB, i guess if you like doing alot of big hits in a row then you are getting what you want, i personally like build-up to a strong finish RPR: its reaper PLD: i preferred old PLD, new skills look nice tho WAR: i dont even play it, and its still the best tank DRK: no opinion GNB: have to actually play it WHM: congrats, its still perfectly fine SCH: new form looks neat AST: THEY GAVE IT A FUCKING SUPPORT ROTATION AND YOU PEOPLE ARE STILL COMPLAINING, nothing else has anything like this, its really interesting SGE: its sage, but stronger BLM: the dev team decided to solidify BLMs identity as a stationary turret mage and remove its ability to move with no downsides, GOOD. i have no opinion on standardizing its rotation because i usually just do what you are supposed to do anyway. (i also didn't like the way sharpcast worked either.) SMN: never could really get into it, old or new. RDM: you get follow-ups to nearly all of your unique OGCDs resulting in constantly pelting the enemy with damage, it wins this expac PIC: looks really fun, cant wait to play it VIP: looks good but more exited for PIC BRD: love the aesthetics of bard but find it awkward to play, will level but might not stick with it MCH: Meh DNC: been good since release, looks like its still good.

I liked the checking out of those A rank hunts. Not something i expected to see in any coverage. Gonna be fun to have to respect their few mechanics for a while until ilvls ratchet up. Also that is wild it hit the despawn timer. Iirc its 24 hours?

Gunbreaker I main so I will start with gripes that are known in the build you tried, which are also subject to change, though that was more than likely the final balance build for ALL jobs; Sonic Break being tied to No Mercy makes no sense and I would rather it be a 30 second cooldown and be a cone AoE so I can use it oustside of No Mercy. Bow Shock I also wish was 30 second cooldown for the same reason but I also wish it had a 30 second duration. Double Down I also wish to be 30 second cooldown and costing 1 cartridge, just so I can use it outside of No Mercy. The removal of Rough Divide makes no sense since the devs could have tied to Lightning Shot as a Continuation skill. Speaking of Continuation... needs more Continuation skills for the basic combos, Double Down, and the new combo. Speaking of the new combo, I would rather it be a 30 second cooldown that I can use outside of Bloodfest AND No Mercy. And that's about it if the DPS part of Gunbreaker, now for the defensives; Aurora I wish had 600-1200 initial cure potency on top of the regen and on a 30 second cooldown with a 3rd charge in case the healer died for some reason. Every defensive cooldown either needs their cooldown timers cut in half, which has been LONG OVERDUE since Stormblood or duration extended, which again is LONG OVERDUE, or both at the same time, and that goes for ALL TANKS, not just Gunbreaker. Dark Knight still looks underwhelming to to play by the looks of it, and it still has MANY of the issues that has been plaguing it since Shadowbringers MEDIA TOUR. Dark Mind still being useless in dungeons for the most part because magic damage. I can no longer turn Darkside on outside of combat or during downtime. Dark Arts STILL requires The Blackest Night to break. Living Shadow has VERY LITTLE interaction with Dark Knight itself, the party, trash mobs, and bosses, and you could achieve the exact same result by giving Dark Knight 2 big damage GCD 3-4-step combos that 1.5-2 second GCD recast, cost 3k MP, but also have a 15 second for single target and 30 second cooldown for line AoE respectively, though that requires re-working a good chunk of oGCDs for this to work. The new combo is nice... I just wish it cost 50 blood gauge AND wasn't tied to activating Delirium in the first place... Also give Dark Knight a AoE blood gauge combo already. The devs could have made Unmend grant Plunge Ready as a buff to use to get back to do more damage effectively, if line AoE stuff is long enough. Sustain still sucks on Dark Knight and I wish they leaned more towards the lifesteal identity on Dark Knight for self sustain, ESPECIALLY when you level sync to A Realm Reborn content but THAT is its own can of worms that needs it own dedicated discussion for. Dawntrail certainly didn't help me like Shadowbringers Dark Knight when they forced Carve and Spit + Abyssal Drain to share a cooldown, and it was already bad enough that they were 60 second cooldowns each. Oblation was underwhelming. Salt and Darkness might as well replace Salted Earth, but keep the DoT field. Shadowbringer the ability being 2 charges AND 60 second cooldown, while ALSO requiring Darkside to be active, made NO SENSE. And Living Dead still sucks even AFTER it got buffed... And then the biggest problem with Dark Knight since Heavensward... Living Dead has ALWAYS SUCKED ASS ! Just let me rip out my heart, crush it, drop my HP to 1, make me not die for 10 seconds while giving me a MASSIVE LIFESTEAL BUFF for 20 seconds already, because I am LITERALLY TOO SPITEFUL TO DIE, you cowards! I may have gone a bit TOO hardcore with that Dark Knight rant... needless to say I hate Dark Knight's current gameplay design since Shadowbringers... and it sucks too because it REALLY HAS COOL ARMOR AND WEAPONS! And it's held back by questionable design choices... I'm not hopeful for 8.0 Dark Knight, and I honestly wish they just axe the job entirely at this point... Now for Paladin; I wish Confiteor combo was usable outside of Requiescat since it flavor text LITERALLY READS LIKE YOU CAN USE SEPARATELY FROM IT! Oh, and have the cure potency for said combo be AoE. Goring Blade I wish was 30 second cooldown instead so I can use it outside of Fight or Flight. And I wish Spirits Within granted Expacion Ready instead so I can use both for more DPS. Also new magic sword attack needs more swords... Warrior... I wish I could use Primal Rend outside of Inner Release...? I'm not really into Warrior and I only leveled it BECAUSE I had to in Heavensward for cross-class skill which in hindsight, not worth it... Reaper; I just wish Shadow of Death and Whorl of Death gave 10 gauge when you deal damage with them, maybe not tie certain cooldowns to another cooldown just to be more flexible with gauge and maybe DPS. And maybe more Enshroud stacks and abilities, as well as more Avatar abilities... Dragoon; Geirskogul should have been 10 second cooldown that grants 1 Nastrond Ready, keep Spineshatter Dive so that the new mobility skill can be used on other party members... that's about it... Samurai; Kenki management will still feel shallow without Kaiten. Tsubame-gaeshi being locked behind Meikyo Shisui made NO SENSE, since it kills the formers flexibility. And Senei and Guren being 60 while still sharing a cooldown will not make Kenki management less shallow, and neither will the new Ikishoten skill, which by the way, just makes it more annoying and shallow, and the devs might as well get rid of Kenki altogether... Red Mage; where are my AoE healing spells? I am dead serious, where are my AoE healing spells...? Also I wish the RNG had a better pity system that isn't tied to burst windows... Black Mage; like Warrior, I'm not too keen on it... Summoner; not too keen on it, but I do agree with everything you said about summoner. Dancer; RNG needs a better pity system that isn't tied to burst windows... Machinist; Where is my akimbo dual wielding gun stance, you cowards?! Bard; exists... yeah like Warrior Black Mage and Summoner, I'm not too keen on Bard... Astrologian; I'm surprised Astral Draw and Umbral Draw aren't 30 second cooldowns with 3 charges for MAXIMUM BUFFS!!!!! Kinda my only complaint for Astrologian really... Sage; I wish it had a basic combo spell for single target and AoE... also make the heal shields play nicely with Scholar heal shields, it was dumb restriction when Astrologian had to deal with it, and it's a dumb restriction now, and even Black Mage mains can tell you that. Scholar; see my heal shield rant for Sage. White Mage; it's fine I guess... also not to keen on it... A lot of "utility" role actions that isn't damage reduction could be deleted or have a base 100 damage potency thrown onto them to make them LESS forgetful... also bring back Cleric Stance, Protect, and Stoneskin 2 for healers... Dark Knight made this comment WAY longer than it need to, because it's THAT BAD ever since Shadowbringers, and people who are still playing it are just coping at this point, and it sucks too because 4.3 ALMOST FIXED ALL OF Stormblood Dark Knights problems... And then Shadowbringers happened... Enmity changes sure as hell didn't fix the griefing issues cause by not having tank stance on... another complaint I have about Shadowbringers design philosophy...

Congrats on the media tour invite! I only picked up the game last year, and main BLM and SMN (your guides have been a godsend for the leveling process btw <3 ). I was FLOORED by the changes to blm - they're basically reworking the entire class! I still don't know how I feel about any of it, honestly - I'm definitely not a GOOD blm player but even I can see that this is gonna be a massive shakeup, it's just a matter of if it'll be for better or worse. For now I'm just taking solace in the fact that everyone else will have to re learn the class too. While I never played old smn, I do really enjoy the class and it's become my go to for content now that I've caught up with ew. I'm definitely confused and a bit disappointed by solar bahamut. It just feels so out of nowhere and unconnected to anything. I'd have been fine with just another demi summon, but at least give us one that's more interesting than Blue Eyes Shining Dragon. Hell, let us summon Shinryu as a demi summon, that'd have been cool af, or even Argos since SB seems like it's just spoiler-blocked Hydalen.

Not every server has trains. Knowing what to expect of hunts is useful even to those who do trains because these mechanics happen fast. Even this late into the expansion the EW hunts live long enough to do even one thing.

interesting video. honestly i have lots of trouble with shield healing. the abilities for shield healers feel so different from direct healers and often results in those heals feeling way underpowered to me. This generalization between proactive and reactive healing as well made me not like shield healers either. I was always under the impression that I had to make sure some kind of shield was up to mitigate damage because a shield healers options for direct healing felt limited to me by a lot, yet the shields themselves were also very limiting where it felt like it took way too much mp for a single shield and compared to other healing effects didn't mitigate as much damage as those others restored. Maybe I just don't understand shield healing though but for example i often compare a regen to a basic shield from SCH. the regen heals back roughly 50% more hp than the shield mitigates plus heals not counting for crits. yet a regen costs 400 mp and adlo is 1k. so in my mind it put this extra pressure on me to need to really know a fight to use those shields properly and I still severely struggle to do this even when i know the fight.

I didn't know someone could hate expedient so much lmao, I absolutely disagree the speed boost is really great and it's easy to coordinate in a raid enviroment and is really useful for mechs that are tight and require a lot of movement.

15:32 Something to note between GNB and DRK openers is the differences in oGCDs (using The Balance's Standard 2.5s openers as reference): GNB has 10 (down to 8 with the removal of Rough Divide) within 10 GCDs. DRK has 14-15 (down to 12-13 with the removal of Plunge) within 10 GCDs. GNB has 6 (5 in DT) unique oGCD buttons to manage (Continuation covers a lot of buttons so less bloat). DRK has 8 (6 in DT) unique oGCD buttons that increase keyboard coverage/hotbar bloat for just the oGCDs. GNB has 3 sets of cooldowns to manage - 30s, 60s, and 120s.Fairly straightforward as these all align with each other every 1 & 2 minutes. DRK has 3 sets - 60s, 90s, and 120s + managing your MP with EoS. Of note is the 90s, which doesn't really align with the other 2 (60s always goes off with 120s, but 90s is variable and will be alone at times). GNB doesn't have any prepull shenanigans. DRK has to pop BW and TBN prepull to maximize the opener (DT will might remove BW in the prepull timing but I'm not 100% on that). GNB has 3 windows of double-weaving. DRK has 6 windows of double-weaving. Between all of that, I can see why people see think DRK has a busier opener than GNB. Still, the changes go a long way to reduce the business of these 2 jobs. Maybe they overdid it with GNB, but this also means potential space to add Continuation...continuations to the Lion Heart Combo in the future. Still, it is nice to not have to pop my defensives 3 GCDs earlier because the boss decides to throw a TB while I'm bursting.

I think there was another option for Dragoon Gaze management, do it like a combination of Monk Meditate and Soul Sow. That way when there is absolutely no way to get your gaze back due to the timing of a bosses downtime you can still get your burst window back. I also feel like with LotD how it is they should have just rolled Lance Charge into it too. Cause my one fear of Dragoons is now the busy burst, I actually think that looks improved in DT but the less busy filler. I know it’s only a geirskogal but it’s still gonna be felt.

@@WeskAlber I don’t see the no detriment part, boss downtime can affect your ability to get gaze, yes getting it at the start of duty would help but there would still be some issues with downtime and I’ve thought about this and can’t think of another way of resolving for weird downtime timers. Cause if I could think of a way different to reaper or monk I would.

So, I've never actually seen your content before, and as a healer main with some spicy opinions, whenever I'm looking at a new FFXIV, I always have to know their healer takes even just out of pure curiosity. The fact that you talked about Holy accidently overlaping with invuln immediately followed by your hate for SCH brought a smile to my face, even if I didn't agree with everything you said. Will probably check in every so often in the future.

Crush Helm in P12S and the bite tank buster from P5S are two of the only times in the savage fights this expansion as a tank that I felt / knew I was absolutely going to die if I missed a mit.

Yeah as a Summoner main I was pretty upset after all they said about reworking the class last time around into. A fun base they could add stuff to. My guess is that doing what we wanted would have eaten up too many dev resources at a time they thought the other jobs all needed some more love, that and they might have been bored after working on the last big Summoner rework for so long. Shame we have to wait two more year for it tho, the Job still feels to me like the progression through the levels isn’t as fun as it was before.

Hear me out: 1 wondrous tails x2 or challenge log+beast tribe 2 at 82 ->zadnor last zone fates(until you hit 85) 3 roulletes and dungeons +beast tribe reset Hit lv 90 and start dawntrial, thats it. Like and subscribe 👍
