A little mashup of the Apocalypsis Noctis and Skyrim themes. Both are incredible pieces and sounded like each other. It was tricky to get some of the parts sound right since they are in a different key.
This is what I like to call "complimentary tracks," where two pieces follow the same melodic structure and create the same emotion, but have vastly different sound. As others have pointed out, Apocalypsis Noctis has angelic singing, giving it an intense scale and otherworldly feeling, while Dovakiin has human chanting that gives the piece and strong beat and a power behind the melody. Also, Apocalypsis Noctis relies heavily on strings for melody as to add to the angelic feeling, while only really having brass to add some punctuation, while Dovakiin uses brass and percussion to create a really strong almost march. These two are practically two extremely different variations of one central theme: power. Both songs use this idea of power in different ways, one being very human while the other is very heavenly. This contrasting style with similar theme is why these two tracks go together so well, almost as if they're two halves to a whole. If you were to take out the intro of Dovakiin, mute both vocals a bit, and remove the brass sections of Apocalypsis Noctis, you would have a song about Man vs God.
Wouldn't say so... I said that because you describe it I such detail that it is amazing yet at the same time not at all. And that reminded me of that woman.
They're different, but complementing each other well. Love the Human War Cry (Skyrim) mix in with Godlike Chanting (FFXV) ... it's like Human VS God !. Good job, love this
Mad Dawg Actually it would be fucking cool if some composer coloberate and do a Arrangement-Album. Final Fantasy meets Xenoblade or Zelda, Super Mario meets Rayman or Sonic, Bloodborne meets Everybody is gone to the Rapture or Elder Scrolls, NieR meets Persona...
@@lordgiles1841 Ik this is random and also this comment is like two years old aha but I feel like you’d like the RU-vidr alex moukala if you don’t watch him already as he does ‘in the style of’ compositions like that
Yes I agree the notes of the chorus are different but they are still in the melody range of the ES theme and I don't understand how people say that the rhythm is differentvwhen it's obviously the same. It's just a faster tempo. If the rhythm was different, it wouldn't be compared in the first place. It's like the MAIN reason why it sounds similar
I found another song from Final Fantasy XV that sounds relatively similar to a song of Skyrim, and I was wondering if you could mash them up? The song from Skyrim is called Kyne's Peace, and the one from FFXV is called Song of the Stars. Give them a listen and let me know, if you would, please!
I know that this was made closer to a decade ago, but missed opportunity to add the Dragonborn lyrics on 0:35 to show how similar the two songs are. Fun fact: Jeremy Soule, the composer of Elder Scrolls Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim (also the guy that made Elder Scrolls Theme) got his first job as a game composer for Squaresoft.
Marco Ak yeah I'm a FF fan and I'm saying HOW ARE THEY NOT THE SAME MELODY???? Seriously though, I've never played any ES game in my life but when I heard the FFXV track I knew I had heard it before.
+The Last Dragonslayer Martin won't be able to hold his own for 15 mins with Noctis. Besides, Martin don't got the Amulet no more, he just Martin smashed it to defeat Dagon anyway, so he's practically powerless
Alpesh Abhijt Chowdhury there’s no competition what ever the dragon borne throws at him noctis could phase shift out of the way and noctis can fucking teleport I’mnot even going to count the milliseconds if we include the ring
What you should have done is use the following sites to find their bpm and then configure the time stretch for one track to match the other based on the data from the BPM website: getsongbpm.com/tools/audio amusicproducer.com/timestretch-calculator.html
