My brother and I would play this game for hours. Back when you could use cheat codes to play the same character and would run through the game on EXPERT. Great memories!!!
My brother & I would both use Haggar first, then we would both use Carlos, & then we would both use Maki! Carlos was both of our favorite characters! You have to beat this game on Expert to get a good ending!
Rolent was by far the toughest boss to beat, he should have been the final boss. Either that or Retu should have been able to shoot something like fireballs or bullets lol
Plot twist: What if Rolent(e) IS the true leader of Mad Gear? He was there in Final Fight 1 too, so he could have had Beuger and Retu set up as fall guys to be the "leader" while he was the secret power behind the throne. Beuger could have been Mad Gear's financier, and Retu was just an enforcer or trainer for the group. After pointing the finger at either of them, Rolent then makes his getaway and quietly rebuilds his organization again somewhere else.

After seeing the game play repeatedly im really not sold.. king of dragons has more interesting combat, iron commando is the best.. and id choose legend over this
