craaaazy to think this was over 10 years ago. I competed in a national event that year for the first time. What a year that was. Rafael Aghayev became an absolute legend dominating the Paris open. Rika Usami with that spectacular kata performance and team France just dominating kumite. I wanted to be french that year lol
If the contact is too weak you score no point, if it's too strong you get koku: all about judging in WKF... Yesterday I participated in the championship of Poland and - although my oponent was better and he should have won - two of my actions were apparently missed by the referee. If it's too fast for them to see clearly (which doesn't surprise me) they shoud use slow motion footage. This is XXI century after all!
Yeah this Jumping stuff is ridicules..I time people ...just hit em in mid air..Watch USKA Karate..They don't have the Money like WKF but the Martial Artists are more traditional. One USKA fighter named Adrian Galvan has joined the WKF.His fighting is wayyy different then most WKF fighters.
I don't agree with the refs. I think Kenji gets a lot of his points on "slapping" the opponent. In my opinion it should not yield points when your contact couldn't possibly be forceful if you wanted it to be. He is fast as hell, but if he was asked to knock his opponent down, i don't think he could. That's just my opinion.
karate started as part of the education of school kids on okinawa, values such as courtesy where part of it, make a show and cheer after the match is totally againts karate, plus that, to score with this useless techniques is ofensive to the karate history and background
First one was just too far away from the target. The second one I TOTALLY agree on. The third one I get it, but back in 2012 they didn't have the video review challenge, so Kenji rightfully scored first. Good kumite nonotheless.
Whats wrong witj tje judging... france literally got 3 free points he didnt deserve, and didnt give 1 + 3 points do Japan ehich he deserved. And at the end, France should've gottend a hansoku for the excessive retreat.
Le style de combat français est un peu nul. Saute partout, être rapide mais pas précis. C’est nul. L’arbitrage donne des points mais ça va deux minutes
Yousef Abdelshafy If your karate is like that I feel really sorry for u. You should try karate-jutsu lessons. If don´t come here n I teach you some. It'll be my pleasure!!
