WOW! 25 books is ALOT!! I would recommend to you. The Bridge Of Terabithia (Paterson?). I read it in March because when my oldest daughter was in elementary school it was her favorite book. Now I understand why ( w/o out going into personal things). I loved it. It is sad at the end, but it is truly a story worth reading. Another sobering, but good middlegrade is The Devil's Arithmetic. Same daughter read that to her 5th grade class then had the kids do a project (whatever they wanted) about a child in the Holocaust. I re-read it. I am presently reading Anne Of Green Gables for Miranda Mills book club this month. I never read it as a child, BUT I bought the first 3 bks. for my daughters, then every book L.M. Montgomery wrote after those. I read them also. Her writing is delicious, description wise. I am also presently reading The Enchanted April, just started it today. Read Winn Dixie some yrs. ago and LOVED it! ( A gift from older daughter). P.S. our family actually took a trip to P.E.I because of the Anne bks. Many moons ago. Truly delightful and WORTH DOING! I missed you so it was good to see you tonight. Great as usual. I REALLY enjoyed Middlegrade March. I had never done it before. Thanks for suggesting. I will continue reading middle grades throughout the year. 😊
I love Bridge to Terabithia - sad but so lovely! I am glad you enjoyed participating in Middle Grade March. I do really hope to get to P.E.I. someday!!!
What a great reading month for you! I read an Elizabeth George Speare book for middle grade March as well; the one I read is called Calico Captive. I thought it was very good and I really enjoyed the growth of the main character, as she matures and learns from her experiences.
I love the Green Knowe series - haven't thought of them in ages. Mrs. Pollifax is one of my all time favorite characters - so glad you are enjoying her! Tommy and Tuppence are another favorite pair of characters. N or M? is my favorite of their books. Sounds like you had a great reading month!
Such a lovely wrap-up!! I need read more Kate DiCamillo! I adore Charlotte's Web - I have to read more from E.B. White. Ahhh I'm so glad you enjoyed Mrs. Pollifax!! Let me know if you ever want to buddy-read the second book in the series! I loved Miss Lavender in Anne of Avonlea!
@@miriamelizabethreads either of those works for me! Are you on Voxer? We can chat there or in DM’s on Instagram. Unless you have another way you’d like to do it. 😊
I read A Kind of Paradise on your recommendation and really liked it. Thank you! I also read The Secret Garden, the Miranda Mills' Comfort Book Club selection for March which I hadn't read since I was in middle school. I loved hearing your wrap-up, so many good ones! Happy pre-Eclipse weekend to you 🌖🌗🌚
I am so glad you enjoyed A Kind of Paradise! It sounds like you had a good reading month as well! I think I might reread The Secret Garden next spring. I haven't read it in a very long time.
Wow - great reading month! My sister had a copy of The Witch of Blackbird Pond when we were kids and I was so intrigued by the cover and title; I'd love to check it out. The Secret Garden, A Murder for Her Majesty by Beth Hilgartner, and Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt were my March favorites.
Sounds like you read some good ones in March! I have Remarkably Bright Creatures on my TBR. And I definitely think you'd enjoy Witch of Blackbird Pond. It would be a great fall read!
I enjoyed that Agatha Christie series also. Unfortunately I think there are only five books in the Tommy & Tuppence series. And possibly a few short stories.
Hi, Jen! Even though this is my first comment here, I have watched every single video of yours! I just ordered my first Laurie Colwin book (Shine On) after hearing you rave about her here 😁 You had a great month of reading!
