Lydias shot on 17 in the howling wind and rain was astonishing, to me that was the winning shot, to get hit by that squall on the toughest hole and to pull off that shot was one for the ages.
Lydia will get her Damehood at the end of the year no question about it 3 Olympic medals, LPGA Hall of Fame LPGA British Open 2024 what's next for Lydia. Us Kiwis are so proud of Lydia, she is exemplary of women's and Men's Golf. 🏆🏆
@@2MalachiHey mate, Lydia Ko grew up in Auckland and learned to play golf at a local golf club there until becoming a professional golfer. Don’t need to be so salty.
Lydia Ko is about as great an ambassador for golf as I have ever seen. What a performance, what a year !!! Olympic champion, Open Champion !! Great golf by so many ladies on sunday under tough conditions. They are the world's best for reason.
What a tournament !!! 2 of the greatest of all time in their hayday maybe 3 if Vu continues what shes doing. Well done R&A realizing Ladies golf is sooo good and deserves playing such iconic golf course under major tournament pressures.
What finish! so much fun to watch. Cracking highlight reel by the way! quite refreshing to not have the winner splashed across the screen for those of us who couldn't watch live
I'm just glad to watch the final round live on TV! I cried when Lydia won it. True Queen. Love you Lydia! Happy to see you at the top again and again. Hope to see you for a long time. Well done. Thank you.
Great editing and great highlights of the final round. This is how golf highlights should be. I feel every other golf platform should take notes and follow suit. Bravo 👏👏👏
To win in those conditions... Absolute Champion Lydia! Those top players were not going anywhere,& played a hell of a game. But the Olympic gold medalist played some top golf at the end there & wasnt going to be denied Awesome Lydia!!❤️🙏
The course, weather and tough competition turned this into a real trial of mental and physical stamina. Lydia was up to the challenge and was a deserved winner.
What a finish to this tournament. After battling insane wind for 3 days, we were left with 5 or 6 of the very best battling it out over a memorable last 9. Kudos to Woad - what a shotmaker she is. Cant wait to see her career take off. Felt a bit sorry for Yin after her puts on 17 and 18 were so so close - that's golf! Liking Vu more and more - genuinely top class and shows a bit of personality. Was great to see Korda really digging deep and battling hard - her bunker shot on 17 was phenomenal. But thought her demeanour all day was weirdly negative - did not look like she was happy or enjoying it at all. I get 'game face', but this was something else. Contrast that with Shin who is truly one of a kind. She was the opposite and looked like she was loving every second of being there. What a player. But take nothing away from Lydia. She was so locked in all day, and over the closing holes it was like she was saying 'this is a how a hall of fame plays'. Her approach on 15, the recovery on 16, the way she played 17 (in howling wind and rain - that second shot will stay in the memory a long time) and then a classy birdy on 18. A true all time great of the game. I hope she plays on a few more years so we get to enjoy her talent, but if she does decide she's had enough, what a way to cap her career.
Didn't even know it was being played. It's disgusting how little air time women's golf gets. I really enjoy watching the women play as there smooth technique is great to watch. Show more women's tournaments 😊
Thank you Ladies for a great back 9 in tough conditions, being inspirational for the next generation.Hope those missed puts from Vu don't haunt her and a bit sad Nelly not win but hey Lydia a fine champion😊
@@2Malachi She is but brought up and learnt her golf in New Zealand. She has the NZ character of modesty and gracce - a true ambassadoress for both countries and golf and women everywhere.
Lydia has always had such sharp focus, and has matured into a really solid player. It was a fantastic year for her. So long to Lexi Thompson, golf has not been fair to a wonderful golfer - robbed of a major by unhealthy golf rules which must've had an impact on her psyche from that point forward. Also, I am surprised that Nelly, her caddie and anyone on her team hasn't noticed that the shot that has been haunting her and getting her in trouble this year has been 'flying the pin' long. How many times has there been a replay of her dead on target and going over the green, causing bogey or worse?
I was gunning for Charley-she deserves a major-but when she faded I was happy to witness the Lydia, Lilia et al show, and was especially chuffed to see Lydia win. Not only a wonderful ambassador for golf, but she speaks and bears herself so well. Thanks R&A and all those who contributed to this tournament.
The SLOW PLAY by Shin on 17 ruined the experience for our family. How wasn't she penalized R&A, they were already on the clock?? Terrible example for average and especially young viewers...
