Thanks for confirming that Blood Getters works on our minions, great news! On the interaction between Golem Mastery and the additive golem damage, I am wondering if this is simply another tooltip bug, which we know existl already. The way damage typically works is that you add all of your additive sources together, then multiply by your base weapon damage, and then by each of the individual multipliers in turn (such as Golem glyph, Hulking Monstrosity), we have never seen a multiplier interact directly with an additive damage source. Another example of a tooltip bug is your critical strike damage, the tooltip includes the 50% you naturally get when you crit, but this is not at all how crit damage actually works, again you take the additive crit damage and add to the other additive sources, and then multiply by 1.5 for the base crit multiplier
Yes, it very well could be a tooltip bug. From the damage formula that MacroBioBoi has gone through in detail, it does not seem like the additive percentages multiply directly with the multiplicative percentages like this. it's close, i.e., the higher the number, the (most likely) better, but it's not exact.
@@Ben_Cheng Yeah this seems like a pretty similar behavior to what Macro explained in his video debunking that "we are all calculating damage wrong" claim. Practically it doesn't much matter as you say, more additive damage is better and more multipliers is better, but yeah I think all the additive sources will get multiplied by the golem multipliers, not just the golem ones

Hi, its a pretty nice build, thanks for the clarification and keep posting. Another huge damage increase, as I found out yesterday could be the use of the Yens Blessing unique boots together with explosive mist aspect. Since explosive mist triggers corpse explosion it counts as skill casting and tirggers the unique aspect of the boots every 8 second. So in fact (depending on your cooldown of the golem) every 2nd or 3rd golem active ability cast ist a double cast and the golem damages twice.
Being on the East Coast in USA, I stayed up late tonight because im off of work for the week, I knew it was 3 o clock in the AM your time and I thought to myself " I know P4wny is cooking at this very moment with this new Golem update", kept refreshing every hour or so on mobalytics and BAM, there it was! I have followed you with this build, and have been changing it every time along side you man, love it, its fun to play, and I love seeing what you can do with it every time. I didnt like playing minion builds in any ARPG, and Bloodmancer is my favorite, but you made me love the Golem Necro King build for sure. Thank you for the timely update, and even a video to go along with it! Man it doesn't get better than that from a Content Creator, great job. Edit: Forgot to mention, appreciate the way you go through the information in the video as well, its almost as if you are a teacher teaching class. I learned quite a bit about Necro just from watching your recorded streams and RU-vid vids.
I believe the boards on the build page are a little different than what is shown in the video, kinda confusing but I appreciate the assistance with these guides for maxing out my golem.
You say not to corpse tendrils more than once, but beside the Exploit glyph it is our source of vulnerable debuff, so I think there is merit in reapplication.
Thanks for the update! I'm wondering, why are you using aspect of reanimation on your amulet instead of the unyielding commander? I've heard unyielding was also multiplicative despite it's tooltip saying it's additive (and most other builds run commander aspect on amulet). Would love to hear your opinion
The point is to hit 100% summ attck speed. Most builds use commander on amulet but they also use summ attck speed on weapon. Its explained in this video.
You're missing activating the extra 25% golem damage and attack speed from Frienzied Dead in the Hulking Monstrocity board. your guide is at 442 willpower and you can activate this by taking the first willpower node on scent of death (instead of the intelligence) then take out one point from the 8.5% golem damage and put it into any of the 7 willpower nodes. thus activating frenzied dead at 454 Willpower and granting you the extra damage.
There's a few other stat nodes that can be swapped around to get that Willpower without having to remove the 8.5% golem nodes. However the more ideal move is to grab the +7 Willpower node on the right end of the Golem glyph, to get a couple % more golem damage as well as the 25% to injured rare node for free.
For any1 going nuts on the golem damage stat, If you go inside a dungeon the stat will have the bonuses and show much higher. So always look the stat inside a dungeon or a pitt
It would take far too much effort to switch all my gear to your setup. However, changing to aphotic and retribution so that I don't need to rely on bone storm to help get blighted charges, has been game changing. My damage seems higher, and so does my quality of life. Thanks for the tips! I still prefer bone storm though over army of the dead, just my preference. But I was still able to take a lot of good things away from this video. Thanks again!
Great work man!! Curious about all the 'lucky hit chance to...' tempers - where are we getting all our LH chance on this build? Are we relying just on corpse tendrils and army of the dead to proc these?
Great video. Im up to pit 98 with this and still improving. Wondering if you have done any testing with adding Dodge to help stay alive on bosses? Any thoughts on it?
I was trying to find ways to make the Mages better, and what they get is so little, just a couple of rare nodes and one glyph that is meh. Totally agree they need a paragon board, and id go as far to say even warriors could see some more love with an updated glyph or rare nodes at least.
Roll the armor on the boots to resist all and swap a diamond for a skull. That should allow you to be armor and res capped and be able to move some paragon point out of resistance.
Took this unit through uber runs today, so satisfying to see golem hulk out for a half billi dmg. So close to beating lilith... might need to restructure a little paragon for the final push. ARISE! Thanks P4wny 🤝
I play with a controller on the pc with this build, do you think this is bad with this build? Do you need to be able to click an elite for golem or is it ok if it’s on a mob in the area? And 2 with the new gold buff icon and goblin buff I can no longer see my buff stacks they get pushed off the end!

One quick little side note here, and I know it is a lot of effort you put in here day by day....but your build guide paragon board does,n't match with your YT explanation. For some, it is not a big thing because they know how to play Necro, but for newbies, it is hard to see it. but again great job 10/10 for the YT video
@P4wnyhof it's the blood bath and cult leader paragon board they bloodbath one don't have enough dexterity for the essence but switching blood bath and cult leader fixes the issue.
Usually had Cult Leader as one of the first boards, swapped it with Flesh Eater as you suggested here. I don't have good(any) Skeletal Mastery items, and I notice my minions being low health and even dying. Custody is not double-bonused in Cult Leader board, that is a difference I can think of. Bit silly, I'm having an easy time staying fully resistant because I have INT instead of those Skeletal Mastery affix ranks, so swapping them around gained me nothing.
It’s cool to see a massive golem damage percentage in the tooltip, but the idea that your golem damage multiplier doesn’t work with other additive sources of damage is nonsense.
@@P4wnyhof I understand you think golem damage is worth more because you see it multiplied in the tooltip, but what you’re claiming, that golem additive damage is worth inherently more because it’s multiplied through your golem while other forms of damage aren’t simply isn’t correct. If I’m wrong then please show us a controlled test where 100 points of additive golem damage hits harder than 100 points of additive summoning damage.
i'm using harlequin crest and temerity at 80% barrier of total hp. so get hp to 50,000 with fort and antivenin you will be god mode. crest + ranks to everything is waaay powerful dude

There isn't much point at all in using those Lucky Hit effects with your current setup. Your minions' attacks won't trigger them and you don't have many sources of damage that you inflict yourself. You should either change one of those slots to add your thorns to minions, or just change them all to something slightly more useful.
Sir you are wrong :) army of the dead triggers plenty lucky hit and it is a little more stagger for bosses to take tons more damage :) Don't understimate the compounding effect here
If you replace mage and worrier dmg for vulnerable damage and shako you will double your golem dmg and improve survival. I'm at 4500 golem damage I do 120 pits quicker than that because when you it cast corpes tendrils it makes them vulnerable for 4 secs.
Picked up a trashy ga golem chest, pois res and healing bonus for 300m, then double masterwork crit on reworking to 10/12. Played some thought what the hell take it to 12/12 boom triple crit and achievement unlocked! Gg me.
Thank you for explaining summoning damage, and why it is crap. I mean I sort of got it, but you understand Diablo 4 math better than I. I figured since we were putting The Warrior/Mage/ Golem masteries that the extra 40% on all three trumped the 80% on on just one. I mean you have an insane amount of skeleton masteries on this! Cannot wait for the next version to drop in 3 days that improves it! Hah. PS - Two things. I always lack resistance somehow, and have to make it up with tempering when I follow the build. Is this normal, and anyone have any idea why? I can only assume not having all my pieces having 135 int with a greater affix. Secondly. Corpse Tendrils sort of is wonky on Console. I cannot aim it. Anyone have any good ideas to replace it? Blight with the pull Legendary worked so much better.
Best place to farm the unique affixes to golem, mages and reapers? 🤔 My rng isn't liking me, most of my unique afixes are for shadow damage reduction. Thank you in advance 💯

for golem build, seeing as golem dmg is key in parangon board, wouldn't be beneficial to change one golem attack speed in hulking monstrosity for a golem dmg (around frenzied golem rare node) ?
i been wondering about blood get aspect.. it buffs... so shouldnt it buff you to buff ya minions to then again buff you? either way it has been working for me day one i love the minions except in barrack type dungeons ... they still havent fixed this issue even back in d3 it seems.. its way better but its still annoying
How do u get higher rolls because my helbent ga is at +3. And ur rolls for golem damage is also higher. And is the golem 6.0 build gonna be way stronger or? Because i finally have the full build for golem 2.0 build and doing nice damage around 700million hits, but are these better?
Hey serious question... Last night on my HC necro I tried switching to shadow minion from regular minion build. I wasn't liking it so I changed back. As far as I can tell everything is the exact same as before, but I went from 1700% golem damage to 1000%. It must be something obvious that made that happen, any suggestions? Also, the tempers on my pants aren't showing...is my character bugged?
One question about how you got +7 skeletal warrior mastery on your helm, You got that on your first try or you keep resetting master working until you got that +7? I mean, you cannot reset from 8/12 down to 4/12 or from 12/12 to 8/12, right?

I’m at around 3k golem dmg. I love em minions but would love to do something else besides spam the raise warrior button. Like shoot blight with ebonpiercer. However, unable to really get a build that would be even close to as powerful as pure minion/golem build and, thus, had to switch blight out. Any hints for building a minion/golem/blight build?
Just redid my skills and paragon board to this and my golem damage dropped from 3200% to 2600% in the stat screen. Is it worth that loss? Before now running your last build. Any advice would be appreciated.
you need the Aphotic aspect and to make sure you activate the skeletal priest to keep them buffed at all times. Also you need to do 10 instances of shadow damage to a single target in order to get one instance of Shadowblight damage, so if you are doing easy content killing everything in one hit you will never get it
hey what's the helm freeze temper for? is it only for stagger? i think i have a decent helm but if i NEED it to be freeze, then it's bricked. lol. thanks
@@henyourface I think I made a mistake, I meant to reply this to a different comment. For this freeze temper, yes it's for stagger; what you want is just some crowd-control effect that you wouldn't otherwise get; since we already have stun and slow from corpse tendrils, ideally you would like other things like freeze or immobilize on your gear
*HELP* 😂 Having problems here. Ive just got your numbers and Im missing 60% of golems dmg on my gear (compared to yours). BUT, im at 4.6k % on "damage with golem". Youre at 5.7k. I just cant understand that. You have 1.028 golem dmg on gear, Im at 961. Chest +5. The only difference is that i dont have skeletal mages on my gloves. Wtf? lol.
I have the worst luck hetting golem mastery to upgrade. Probably ober 200mill in and not more than 1single hit...reset after reset.. it's really a stupid system.
so based on what you mentioned at the start of the video its completely pointless for warrior and mage mastery. and minion speed is better on the weapon lol
No you did not understand that right :) Skeletal Masteries still improve your dps by quite some since they multiply with the other multipliers (cult leader reanimation etc). Also the tempering still applies shadowblight faster.
