Dope battle both. Slim has really evolved and reinvented his style, adding waves, way more unpredictable original movement, ground move variations, while still keeping his original strengths. Crazy. Slim is bringing his own original flavor to this dance and on a high level technically and as a dancer. He was the winner for me. Hozin is dope and getting better with every contest and performance. Respect
Hozin taking round 1 imo. Started round two with a good countering energy but fell off his momentum @ 6:00 only to recover the round during the last 5 seconds when he found a good finishing set. Yes, he was searching for it. (: Slim taking round two with a more clean, concise, & musical performance. Battle was close. Both dancers digging deep and bringing something refreshing to the floor. Would like to see a 3rd round even though i have a feeling Slim would have cemented it given the change of pace in their last exchange.
Yeah i knew it was called 52 something. I always think of 52 card pick up when i hear that style. But yeah do something new cool. Just don't get too close! Ha!ha!
Don't think i like too much hoppin around it doesn't look like poppin then. I really like slim he keeps it in context. Plus he was another kind of dancer before he started Poppin, bottin etc... good moves y'all
In battles, its all about killing the beat and getting the crowd jumping :/ This is why beat freaking and musicality is ranked above creativity and character. It doesn't make sense though coz dance is art and art is found in creativity and purpose of a body movement. Although musicality on top of it does help. Just the order of priority is wrong.
