Be sure to Anchor it to the slab guys. Once concrete is cured anchors need to be installed. A good strong wind storm and the paint booth will be next door.
If you haven't done so; make sure you anchor it down. Also silicone (seal) all around the base to the cement. You don't want rain to build up under it and raise the humidity. I'd also consider a peaked roof so water can't pool up on it too. You could make a large overhang above the fans to help protect them also.
When you silicone gaps, make sure you go back with some winded in a bowl and dip your fingers in it after you wipe the excess from the gaps. You guys have it all globbed on there.
Paint booth is looking great - Would be a major benefit to the back and forth from the main building to build another room off the rear for a paint store/ mixing room. - Paint the ramps underneath, looks like bare steel, and won't be long before the rusty water starts to spread over the concrete. -Paint a roof sealer on the outside of the roof, protect the longevity of the Silicon sealer and assist with leak protection

I recommend you coat that shiny roof with "silver RV paint" great protective and cuts down on reflective properties so it doesn't interfere with Aircraft flying over. yes, that is a thing. love the booth. what an upgrade.
@@jpf1978 What does your PPL have to do with common sense, a reflective surface blaring into the sky near or within range of operation airfield should be minimized to not allow glare to interfere with Aircraft in the area, now has been several years sense i read this cation, but it does exist. so, you're saying that reflective glaring object reflected into your vision while flying wouldn't bother you. the risk is low, but still a risk. Also, the paint would help reduce the heat that tin box is going to absorb and weatherproof it. 99% of all paint booths that I've seen installed are in doors. under watertight building.
Probably the happiest and most excited I’ve seen Eleazar in awhile. You guys got a whole compound going on! Now you can move the frame machine beside the paint booth and have more room inside for the toys!
@@whumphagreed, a building over top is a must. Great investment for the property and for protecting their other investments. Either a nice metal building or if they wanted to “up the ante” they could build something out of brick/block/stone. I’m not sure how things work in TN but If I’m not mistaken having a masonry building on your property increases the value as it’s considered a permanent structure and built to be stronger and more weather proof than wood or metal.
They said they're putting a Carport over it,and some of the slab.Once Simeon's place is done,he'll move a couple rides there.He has a 4-5 car garage there.They Won't be putting the frame machine outside.
Not sure why you wouldnt take the time to move one light panel to the other side and swap a couple other panels around so the light is distributed evenly across the booth with 4 light panels on each side.
Because they don’t care. It will probably have to come down since I doubt they got a permit for that huge concrete slab messing up all the drainage that the county made them setup.

Congrats on having your own paint booth. It's absolutely incredible how far you've come over the past few years. I started watching you before you had the garage at your Mom & Dad's house. You would set up a canopy over the car you were working on to stay out of the sun. Excited to see where your continued hard work and dedication takes you going forward.
Guys the paint booth needs to be in a building, they are not meant to exposed to the elements, not to mention it will be literal oven in the summer, the paint will flash before it hits the surface, and in the winter just the opposite, the paint booth y'all used in the past is enclosed for a reason , mainly to have a stable environment to paint, and if you haven't already you may need a small source emissions permit for the paint booth, depending on state environmental laws

THIS building will be the greatest addition to the Goonzquad industrial complex. You guys have done so many amazing things in your short time and it has been well worth it I am sure.
Hope you secure that to the ground/pad. A big storm will pick it up and destroy it. Also, secure the ramps, drive tires could spit those ramps out pulling a car in.
Exhaust Filters are in backwards! Flip them and they will last 4x longer. Own a filter service and supply company that maintains about 50 booths a month
That is a nice paint booth it is going to be nice to have all your own stuff in one place now you just need a place to park all the cars when they are all done
You know that flat roof is going to be a big problem. No where for rain and snow to run off. That booth was meant to be installed inside a building. You need a canopy over the entire building and fan housing. Maybe even a shell over the whole project. You need some professional advice before it’s too late and more expensive.

Maybe you should consider putting a extra room or shed next to it that's flame proof and use it as a paint mix prep room/ compressor room etc. as you'll be having to go back and forth to the main hq and could cause fresh paint to get contaminated. Just a thought goonz

Will those filter grates support a car ? Also if the air flow in the booth is a down draft the flters in the floor need turned over. The air flow should hit the white side first. Keep up the good content !
Although this may be true, it’s not a good idea to assume the orientation of the filters based on colour, without first consulting the filter media specifications.
My first impression would be the filters shouldn't be under the wheels. Maybe they were supposed to go along the wall and the three sections in the middle would have the flat steel panels.
@@danielmarek4609hat’s exactly where you want it ( near the middle) so when you bag a car it pulls the sheet to the car like a vacuum you don’t want it near the sides as it will make the sheet flap off the job
Cover the joints and seams on the outside with flashing tape. It adds an extra barrier. Additional, when they come to run the wires, think about putting an electric motor on the fence to open and close it. Might be able to use a garage opener for that, as well. It’s better to having them come one time and install wires that aren’t on, than to call a second time and pay more.
The paint booth looks great. I hope the sealant holds up to the weather. Suggestion...spray the roof with white truck bedliner. It will weatherseal it and it will reflect a lot of the heat from the sun.

That cloth covering on the wire is fireproof anti-static covering. I would also recommend using a treated 2x6 stood on edge in the center of the roof then install rockwool insulation in the channels of the roof topped with regular metal roofing panels from center 2x6 to the edges with 6 inch overhang to have a slanted secondary roof that will keep the rain from building up and provide good insulation in the winter.
I've seen them outside but generally under a lean-to attached to the main shop. Main reason people don't have them outside is you have to push a bare steel car from the main shop into a paint booth without getting it wet or dusty or contaminated with tree sap and whatever which means you can't transfer a car in humidity, rain or wind.
Wow this is really another great milestone achievement in your continuous build journey. Hard work is paying big dividends and that sure looks like a 1st class paint booth to me. Might need to get someone to bore a hole under your driveway to run the electric cable unless you cut it open from the top. Nice money maker!
Anchor it down good boys! Also, hope you sealed up those screws on the flat area of the roof REALLY well!!! Water always has a way of finding its way in!!! Would hate to see a leak in there!!!
Hope you guys build some kind of shed around the paint booth so it's not exposed to the elements. Doesn't look like it would fare well after a few hard storms.

Guys, just getting caught up on your show and hear you reference “silicone” rather than Caulk. Don’t use silicone as it is a fish eye generator and you need to use silicone free caulk. Don’t want to be the bearer of bad new but do not use silicone!!!!!

Super happy for you guys.....But I really hope you read some of these comments. There is a lot of helpful info from the filters being upside down to anchoring to it needing to be under another structure to it needing FRESH air in and bad air out. Please follow some of this advice....your return on investment will be a waste if you don't. You youngsters kick ass and are motivated to the moon but patience is a virtue! Good Luck Boys!!
I hope the shed you build is industrial strength and meets code especially the weather in that area. I see some issues that paint booth. Have the paint booth inspected to make sure that it was constructed correctly. I’m serious.

outside not newer used silicone, all bugs and animals eat silicone fast off, normal outside used only acryl seal not silicone seal. acryl have lot better weatherproof and bug proof and stay longtime. silicone not stay long.

Sorry guys but the booth is WAY TOO SMALL and there's not enough working room to spray unless it's a small vehicle. There's no way an Aventador will fit in there and be abled to be sprayed let alone a decent 4 x 4. The concrete needs to be sealed to prevent any concrete dust coming out when it dries out which it will and ruin your paint despite the filters...and your air intake is on the wrong side as your neighbour across the road, has a yard full of loose metal/ gravel in bins just waiting to be sucked in if the wind is blowing the wrong way. Your entry door needs another entry room around it at least to prevent contamination blowing in despite if the fans are on creating positive pressure. For god sake don't try to mickey mouse the electrical work... Those fans are 3 phase and draw a huge load on themselves. The entire booth is metal so if you get it wrong you risk frying someone without the DANG SAUCE!! LOL... SLOW DOWN on this one and do it right, lots of mistakes have been made on this project already.... but the electrical contractor who does the power cannot be bribed to do a fast job or the extent of the job underestimated ...and next week isn't too long to wait!! KEEP SAFE!!!
I still believe that paint booth was meant to be set up inside a garage. Pretty sure its not 100 percent weather tight. One option is get a couple of short sea cans and place one to each side of the booth and have trusses built and cover it with a roof and build a back wall. With sea cans this will give you parts storage and whatnots, and the other can could be used as the paint storage and prep/mixing area.
shouda done the building first that booth galvanised or not WILL rust all the holes , cuts n screws even the sheet.. i worked wiv this stuff most o me working life. wait see
Sick paint booth! I would like to point out at the rear wall on the top, i can see light coming through. Make sure you get that covered up so you don't have any air leaks :)
you needed this - you should build an office naxt to it and pole barn for some parking/storage - you still need space but you have close to perfect setup before you inevitably move again - make stuff modular and simple so you can take it with you - this will help your production and efficiency big time
Agree with a lot of the comments on anchors and moisture below the booth and possibly a sloped roof but additionally, would have located the fan box at the other side of the booth away from the road. Not sure if you folks utilize a scaled site plan drawing to organize your thoughts and think through your construction processes, if not, would recommend the same, will make your projects a lot smoother.
Wow that is a really nice paint booth no young man art be very proud of themselves they're doing a fabulous job I'm always excited the. Seawater next baile's gonna be and they're paint jobs are looking absolutely professional.
I would’ve preferred to have it installed by professionals for the additional 10k, I admire your approach to take it on yourselves. However, you should have left space to the door to add an airlock room where you can enter and exit into for mixing, waiting, storage, supplies, etc. Also a must to anchor the booth now it’s built to prevent shifting under heavy wind. Also I hope they install identical lights on the walls to make it symmetrical as it would bother me especially if it’s a private paint booth. (Also Important to have equal lighting for the painting process) excited for this day to be here but that’s just my observation. Lastly please becareful with the electrical as Simon was correct about flammability. Good luck boys, excited for the next episode.
