That moment when James Brown comes on and Ynot goes to another level and kills it. If I can use a Dragonball Z reference, it's like he turns into a super saiyan when James Brown plays.
The contestants don't get the songs in advance from Juste Debout or whatever. But essentially the contestants, especially if they're very well drenched in the culture, most likely and probably know a lot and most of the good tracks or basically all of the tracks. Thats why even if the DJ spins random tracks of his choice, more likely than not, unless its an unreleased fresh track by the dj, the contestants and most of the people who are into the culture will know the music :D. Peace!
Love Ynot's flava for sure, he's a master. If I was a judge the only negative thing I would say will be the arched back, he always seems looking to the floor and it doesn't look nice, maybe he keeps his shoulders too stiff because he's focusing so much on doing intrincate pattens of footwork? peace.
Yeah that's mighty impressive. That being said, having hanged around with bboy's I've noticed they listen to so much funk they ain't up getting the songs they practice to in battles haha.
Do the contestants get the songs in advance? Cause ynot is essentially listening to each track on full battle before each of his starts, I think that's a fair advantage. Still they both performed really well, I especially liked ynot's performance on the last song, very on-point with the rhythm.
This just isn't fair. When Ynot enters a toprock battle it almost becomes an exhibition, because we know who's going to win. Maybe Keebz could give him a battle, but I've yet to see him lose when it's about the tops. The other bboy was dope too, but Ynot is to toprock what Cico is to 90s.
Sorry 4 me...basically no can Top Rock..u need STYLE first, there were a lot of fillers (moves that just fill music) Watch Ken Swift..Style and Moves... Sorry.
