wonderfull work as always, pretty lucky as a warlock to have such a good content creator dedicated to our class heading to the War Within. So far and so forth ^^
Lock players should be screeching about CDF/SF interaction like mages did about the arcane "bug" that got added in because it worked well. The interaction made it feel like a cool combo, almost like WW monk with WDP into Dance of Chi-Ji into Sequenced Strikes BoK. It just felt nice and interactive and it's gone (for) now.
I like aff, it's kind of a cool thematic spec if you want something different from the classic warlock with fire and demons, but after playing shadowpriest it feels like aff is kind of a beta version of SP... to kickstart aoe on warlock, you have to: cast seed (1 shard), cast vile taint (1 shard), vile taint cd doesn't align with agony duration and you spend 2 shards, 2 gcds and both spells have casttime; meanwhile shadowpriest: shadow crash instant cast costs nothing (in fact, generates your resource) applies both dots has the same cd as the original dot duration, and then you just proceed with your single target rotation, basically. I liked playing shadowpriest as a dot spec a lot more that aff, even though I've played mainly aff for many expansions... I hope the feeling of clunkyness is fixed with hero specs, but honestly it feels kind of forgotten (at least to me)
I've had similar vibes too.. Sometimes they bring certain classes up to date with modern gameplay styles and some classes get forgotten and feel like an antiquated clunky mess.
I say this guinenely in not a bad way: for all non-native english speaker put video to 0.75 speed so u dont miss anything. As always thanks for your hard work and effort
They still have to add Flame Rift, that cleave talent is useless, no one is even using Rift because it's nerfed, and the Incinerate proc is not intuitive, it should be Immolate/Wither. That part of the tree needs a revamp. Buff Rift and add Flame Rift. I also believe Hellcaller should have some spell buffing CB in some way, CB's damage as Diabolist is insanely stronger than it is as Hellcaller.
I mean to be fair, before the nerfs destro was OP as shit. Problem is that blizzard Overnerfed destro like they did with elemental shaman. We still got a few weeks before season 1 so thry probably will do dome slight buffs to destro
@@jako997it’s not about over nerf. They are trying to balance the tree, dmg profile and playstyles, not overall dmg tuning. It was stupid you were casting RoF for ST and on ele only press lava burst for all ST and aoe
I mained Destro season 4 and loved it. Up until a week ago I was gonna play destro, but now looking at feral druid or demon hunter. I am going to level 3 80's before raid and see if they improve it
I think one point of general feedback for the game is nameplates in general. I think it's the one part of the game that feels very unprofessional made...just a bunch of plates clashing and sliding over each other, switch positioning if you move your camera or character in a pack, and stacking at the top of screen unless you are pulling small packs only. There's gotta be some way to make nameplates a more...chart like experience in big pulls, a set grid essentially which grows horizontally to fill the space where they are now ie. the top half of the screen. I'd really love for them to make nameplates a focus point of 11.1 or 11.2. It's also the number one thing I see mentioned by less active players or returning players on streams when people are running keys like "wtf why is there thousand nameplates how you do track all that?" But that's more general non-warlock stuff. I've always hated the way nameplates are handled in WoW m+, even with the best Plater profile...you'll still have awkward position switching, plates disappearing behind other plates in big pulls, etc.
I feel like between destro being undertuned and its severe lack of mobility compared to aff and demo. Destro won't see much play unless something changes before launch.
Yes they just can't design the spec to be fun like it used to be way wayyyy back. Though back then maybe the lack of mobility wasn't as big of an issue either. I still remember fondly though when incinerate could be cast while moving..
Great video as always ! Have an idea for Aff : the Shadowbolt Volley talent should proc talents such as Shadows Embrace au Tormented Crescendo could be a great quality of life upgrade for cleave aoe situations !
I understand that probably they're not changing talents this patch, but Demonology the master of demons, not having the utility of other pets, is unbelievable. Why we can't have Imps for dispell without sacrificing all our damage?
@@deepzz4056 So for demonology the compromise is: Aff and Destro deal damage with dots and chaos bolt while choosing their utility. Demo gets to do dmg and no utility. makes sense
@@NoOne4k they should have tackled those Problems in class tree rework but they just touched it once by making it even less flexible. M+ utility is a big topic for locks anyways.
@@deepzz4056 Felguard is EITHER a kick OR a stun on 30 sec CD while Destro can kick on 24sec cd and then sac the pet and rekick again. So its a kick every 24 sec and a double kick every 3min. Destro can offensive purge with Felhunter on top of that Or they can choose to dispell magic effect every 15 seconds while Demo lock can NEVER dispell or offensive purge and on top of that demo has a longer cd on his kick
Yeah, I loved seeing the big hits, but hated the lack of mobility. Glad affliction is making a comeback because didn't care for demonology. Maybe they will give it some buffs. Really hated they broke the cdf and soulfire sinergy. Hope they bring that back.
Affliction, soul harvest Periodic damage applied by the ability "shared fate" triggered by "quietus" is not extended by the use of "darkglare". it only lasts for 3 seconds without the possibility of extension. Is this a bug or is it intentional? This is another periodic damage effect that would complement our main ability well, adding damage based on the 'number of DOTs on the target'
For CDF and Interaction with SF I am totally with u. But going more into this direction, if then it was worthwhile playing CDF, where should the points come for this in ST spec since we also playing Shadowburn now? Cant think of it honestly. Would love it more for ST to raise the procc chance for SF and for M+ make rifts worth using ( actually easy: just add flamerift for damage and up the availability for rifts, by now it is too low) and that would be really nice.

Really sad about how destro turned out. I loved the interaction between cdf and soul fire, and now it's gone. And also very sad about how doom turned out. At the beginning of alpha it was the main thing that made me want to come back, and now it might as well not exist. I am just dissapointed Just delete destro at this point. I know i'm exaggerating, but i am so dissapointed :(
Everyone was asking for destro nerfs, now we're shocked that destro is the worst spec again. Honestly funny, because even when Aff is giga busted you'd never see Kalamazi ask for the same treatment for Aff that destro just got lmao.

Well Destro was busted and OP. The thing is when asking nerfs people don't expect Blizz to suck in their work so much that they over nerf it. Sad thing is that usually they can't get it right straight away and instead we see the over buffs and over nerfs. I hope they tune it properly before it goes live...hopium.

He wants to play Aff and wants Aff on top, that shit could pull double the dps of other classes and he would not say anything. As long anyone listens to this guy destro will never see the light of day until their 10th 5% buff pushes them to an acceptable state lmao. But destro, once again, is probably dead for at least a year.

Demo Soul Harvester Question here. If you have no soul shards and you summon demonic tyrant generating three succulent soul shards is your next Hand of Gul'dan: 1) +60% and the other two buffs are wasted or 2) +180% or 3) +60% and the next two hands are +60% as well? ???
They don't need to buff IH, but instead change it to the warlock 4piece bonus from the first raid since it's basically the same thing. But instead of cores it procs off SB casts. Edit: tho they will have to wait to change it when season 2 comes.
Glad I've only played destro for so many years, Even with the nerfs I can still keep up with the usual over powered other 2 specs. One thing I still wish Blizzard would have done with diabolist is spread out the damage profile of ruination to have said visuals out longer then a few seconds.
For Demo I would love to see Dread Lash and Carnivorous stalkers swap positions. With CS being the only "core" talent of the row this would give us some more flexibility in being able to pick Imp Gang Boss over Spiteful reconstitution without losing access to Soul Strike.
Chose to main a lock early on in the beta access. Enjoyed destro so much, loved seeing chaos bolts fly out my hands into enemies. Then they got squished AND now feels not as powerful as they once did. Still amazing fun, but i now have a week to learn how to use aff/demo for our raid team. I know your guides will help :)
My suggestion for Dimensional Rift back when they had 5 total talents for rift: make Unstable Rifts (cleave talent) baseline, convert Dimension Ripper to DF season 3 tierset functionality of resetting on immolate, then combine Lessons of Space Time with Flame Rift, but you can visually replace the flame rift with a "Cosmic Rift" or "Void Rift" that looks like the rift the first boss of the new raid has (which I believe is an existing rift appearance, reskinned for the fight.) That way you still only have 3 talents and plenty more interactivity that is necessary to even consider running the talent. You could also rework the Space Time portion of my Space Time/Flame Rift combo talent to say that when you proc the cosmic/void rift, you get a 30% damage increase or something similar tuned. That way its less of a maintenance buff and more of a passive damage increase relative to that rift's proc rate. Not sure if thats a little overcooked tho.
Since you asking for suggestions, I really believe that the RNG on the dogs cores needs to made into a massive deal, not just a minor issue, like lights and sirens for it.
I would love an active talent which extend duration of dots, even at cost of 1/2 soul shard with 20/30 sec cd. Or instead a spell like the old pvp talent which make dots tick 33% faster without reducing their duration at 3 shard cost.
11:40 Perpetual Instability is a must run talent in pvp In cata there was a glyph which reduced the gcd of UA by 0.2. This is them bringing it back basically In pvp you run a talents that lets you have 3 UAs up on different targets. UA is your most important spell in pvp because it offers dispell protection for your own dots and your teammates. So its extremly important to have as low cast time as possible on UA
Which is why I advocate for totally separate talents for PVP. Have all the classes be tuned only for PVP via PVP Talents. 3 passives is not enough. It won't happen though, so both PVE and PVP players will continue to suffer because of this.
pass the script to find the UA mob plz. I use Buff specials to enlarge the debuff in order to find it easier, but in big pulls its almost imposible to find the one
Perpetual unstability is the perfect talent for pvp aff and it doesnt prevent pve from getting capstones so i hope they dont change at least that after removing ineviteble demise which was the #1 reason aff could survive in pvp (removing because nobody took that in pve i assume) things are already looking quite dire
So you said we're not playing oblivion *anywhere* but your Pre Patch Aff guide still has the oblivion capstone for pure ST, so if we're not taking Xavius's Gambit and Oblivion what are we taking instead?

How would you rate Shadow Priest vs Aff lock in an M+ environment? Been watching all your recent videos and thinking of playing either or, mainly for M+. Will be running Vengeance, Mage, Aug/Ele and Resto druid with me either S Priest or Lock. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
If dmg is somewhat compareble it will always be SP bc of utility (HP buff, offheal, etc.) Lock doesn't contribute a lot in m+ besides dmg. Even their only stop is casted. Their curses are gcd based and not aoe casted. Healstones are minor impact. Gates are too niche and can be worked around with MS from priests for example. Their external healing taken is usually relative high compared to mages, etc.
i second what the other commenter said, warlock isn't really a good m+ class, if it's purely enjoyment based then i think warlock beats out sp but if you're looking for a stronger addition to your group overall it's not even really a choice, just go shadow.
I miss Malefic Grasp from MoP tbh. IIRC it made your dots tick faster, or caused them to erupt for a portion of their overall damage whenever MG ticked. It was thematic, and made your DOTS the star of the show.
