She knew it was the only way to find peace in her soul. She loved and hated him at the same time, there was no way he could reconcile that. She had no other way.
Gotta say this is still one of the very best Asian drama series... everything from the cinematography, the sets, the storyline, the script, the cast and the acting to the OST. Some drama series are excellent in some aspects but this one is excellent all-round.
This ending is sad but beautiful. To me it's not a bad ending our little princess went back to her xizhou and reunites with the ppl that truly loved her....her parents, her grandfather, A'du and I guess xiaowu who would choose her over everything else and catch a hundred fireflies for her. Now she's free... While li gouzi lived a miserable life this is her punishment to him our famous ninth princess's goodbye.
The ending doesn't make sense. She could forgive him, live with him and demand terms for her xizhou. She acted as if she is mentally ill and suicidal no matter what li chenyin says
I think the novel's ending was more sad. The perspective of narrating how old ML was doing was told by General Pei's son: ML was said to b strict with his only son; It seems that he intentionally had 1 son only so as to avoid conflict over the throne (like he experienced and previous generation); ML never smiled/laughed, but he did when a daughter was born out of a concubine. He showered the daughter affection&love more than anyone in the palace, deluding himself that she looks like Xiaofeng and that she might be her daughter. Unfortunately, the child died, and ML prepared the emperor's coffin (reserved for him) for burying the daughter, much to the official's protest; ML was so heartbroken of his daughter's death that he looked older than he looked; ML conquered a lot of territories except Xiaofeng's clan; ML doesnt believe that Xiafeng died. (Although its pretty clear she died w/ A'du) ML deludes himslef that Xiaofeng must be roaming around freely with her family in thier territory that's why he doesnt conquer their land.
This was a great drama even though it severely breaks your heart 💔What I hated about Xiaofeng was that she's too soft-hearted. Idk how you can still be in love with a man that beheaded your beloved grandfather, caused other deaths in your family, had a mistress and abused you emotionally/physically. It's truly disrespectful to a woman's self worth. Li Chengyin was a complex and layered character. He was cruel and yet charming at the same time. He seemed to have received his karma in the end although I would much rather see it in 52 eps. Chen Xingxu did an excellent job at such a young age!
I dont know why viewers dont understand why he treated Xiaofeng. she almost died once. Poisoned by his 2nd brother, because he discovered XF is LCY weakness and all his enemies will attack him thru XF. Remember when he was in prison, LCY said protect yourself because his 2nd brother may attempt to kill her again

In the 1st place if Xiaofeng just obeyed her father's wish to marry & did not escaped to Danchi her grandpa might still be alive or it wasnt LCY who killed him. Anyway she did marry LCY. Most often parents wishes are for the good of their children
@@Rukiachan05 it doesnt make a person great when he chose only love. In an interview Xingxu was asked which will he chose career or love? He answered smartly, career is the foundation, but love is happiness. Realistically one cant live by love alone, its not enough, but its not good to live alone. You have to balance your life. For LCY his priority at that time was the empire, he will be irresponsible if he leave it in the hands of the cruel and scheming because they will suffer. Maybe some people just think about themselves only they focus on love, dont understand the feeling of being responsible for others. For an ordinary person it applies. He was not selflsh, he has to sacrifice though its hard & hurts. Love comes only second since they started it young but eventually after everything was settled he would give it a priority but it didnt happened because XF didnt wait & forgive, which i understand. Yes try to watch his latest drama i think its the type you want, some kind of fairytale fantasy. I love Xingxu but not my type drama it wont ever happen in real life not even in chinese😁 I think GMP is for the grown up realistic matured & broadminded people drama
i have watched this drama with all of its episodes and was amazing! beautifully done and created with perfect actors for it`s characters especially the lead ones... I was so satisfied and wished there`s a lot more very good dramas to make...
Al final quedó prisionero de sus acciones, sentimientos y recuerdos. Pese a que dedicó su vida a dar paz una vez convertido en Emperador. El pasado no perdona ni olvida. Así que al final de su vida, buscó a la mujer que no supo amar o el río del olvido para poder olvidarla. Ahora con su permiso voy a llorar😭😭😭
oh how I cryed but every person who was in this movie everybody did a fantastic job on there acting I congratulate all the actors the custumes and accually everything about this movie was great congrats
Esse final foi tudo que ele merece, ela só foi sofreu nas mãos desse malvado, só foi humilhada ele não seria justo ele ficar com ela foi bom demais ele sofrer,e ficar sozinho .
Didn't watch the full drama but watch these clips/videos so many times and kinda know the story and all I can say that ML deserve it and this is the best ending for this drama 😧

The story was really superb!...the red costume made Peng Xiaoran iconic...its just pitty that her dramas are limited. Am waiting for her " my talent neighbor" has been done 2019 yet but till now nothing!!!....what happened YOUKO agency????
This drama has extra scenes (epilogue) where the ML & FL met in modern times and have happy endings.. ~ SPOILER ~ However, I feel the heart wretching ending here is suited. Whichever side FL choose will also made her unhappy. She died to prevent war and if ML regret.. well he deserved it)... VERY GREAT ACTING FROM THE CASTS! Worth to watch.
He visto completo el dorama, y es una relación tan tóxica que no tenía cabida otro final,solamente si el maestro estuviera con ella pero... muy triste 😥 Por lo demás esta el tema de la amistad que si la ven ,seguro gustará Un saludo
Así es es mi drama favorito, yo creo por la historia y es uno de los finales que más me han gustado...Li chenyi empezó siendo un buen personaje buscaba justicia hasta cierto punto pero hasta que decidió utilizar a xiaofeng y se había enamorado ya no había vuelta atrás. Luego quiere el trono y vez como se va corrompiendo cuando mato a ju Gian dios.. como lo odie, le quitó a Xiaofeng todos sus seres queridos y aún así quiere vivir felices por siempre, por eso me encanta el final... No puedes tenerlo todo...o mejor dicho no puedes tenerla, ni siquiera sus restos después de todo lo que le hiciste. Quizás es triste que ella muera pero al menos descansa en su tierra.

Ame el drama y llore con el, excelente. El final fue fuerte pero no había otra forma para ella, la abuela dijo que tiene que olvidar, pero como olvidas, ver cómo mato a su abuelo, la muerte de sus padres y las humillaciones que le hizo en el palacio , además del engaño no había otro camino

Не могла найти полнометражный фильм, смотрела в клипах. Много осталось непонятных моментов и я бы с удовольствием пересмотрела даже с автосабами, но полностью. Пожалуйста порадуйте нас! Актеры замечательные, очень красивые, играют великолепно, им хочется верить. Спасибо за чудесную дораму! Пусть бы уже и в клипах, но в хронологическом порядке, а не как попало, остальное мы додумаем... Спасибо!
