Awesome Top 10!!! I only have one on the list that's Showcase #4. I do have most of the books in reprints. Wonder Woman #1, I have the masterpiece edition that's the same size as the original golden age print.
Lovely set of books! Alan don't you think it so unfair that characters that have been around for 60+ or 80+ years, have the prices of their first appearances dictated by movies that have no age at all? For new collectors these days they have very little chance of such an eclectic collection such as yours, short of winning the lottery! As far as restoration is concerned, if it keeps the book another 100+ years who cares.
The disdain for purple labels of such major grails is astounding to me. I would still prefer a really good looking restored grail than a 2.0 and below unrestored especially if that restored book just has minor restoration.
Nice books Allan. How do you know that only the corner had been trimmed on the TOS #39? I think of trimming as trimmed on an entire side or more in order to get rid of Marvel chipping or similar problems. Not sure that a 1/4" "trim" on a corner should be called trimmed?
ditto on the beautiful books! I personally also don't mind restoration on key books, makes them more affordable and present well compared to what I could afford otherwise.
