Gave the album like 4 listens through at this point and I absolutely love it! Just from a production stand point I really enjoy it. The boys evolve everytime it's crazy how they keep getting better and better. Of course burgundy is such a banger track but imo transgressions doesn't get enough love. If you listen to The Evil that men do, transgressions and us vs them you get this sort of trilogy. Obviously similar samples in the production but I think the tone blends together nicely. I know I put this everywhere since the album dropped, but here is my thoughts on this album. Some of the scoring has changed now that I listened to it more. Sorry for the TLDR moment Lone Wolf Hysteria: good intro, the sample of Bossier City Kidnap Victims is a nice touch as well, so I give it a 6 out of 10 Mental Clarity: is pretty good, but I don’t see any replay value to it, so it’s a 6 out of 10 for me, I may change my mind the more I hear it though Thin Grey Line: I know it was a single before the album drop but I never played it. It’s got that sound of 2015/2016 $B and it’s got that gritty instrumental. Definitely a 8 out of 10 Thorns: good soft sound to it and a break from being turnt up from TGL, I love how they mix the music this way. Get you going hard then give you break from how intense the previous song is. This one though, 6 out of 10. May also change my thoughts on this one Misery in Waking Hours: Scrim, Scrim, Scrim. That vocal range is indeed a early days range, maybe 2015 era. Ruby is just as good in this one, literally took me back to YUNGDEATHLILLIFE. Song is 7 out of 10 (so far one of my favorites) Burgundy: Just a damn good banger, the eeriness of that “la la la la la” in the background and distorted vocals made this song as good as it is. This is so far, one of my personal favorites. I’ll give this song a 8 out of 10. (Another favorite, favorite line is ‘I got some wounds that ain’t healing up’ felt that one.) Transgressions: this is a good one, I would give it a 7 out of 10. Great piano vibe in the background, sounds similar to Cerberus from YDLL, if it wasn’t obvious, YUNGDEATHLILLIFE is my personal favorite album from the boy$. Are You Going to See the Rose: HOW THE HELL DID I NOT HEAR THIS AS A SINGLE?!! Got me going stupid crazy in the workplace 🔥😂💀 I give it a hard (pause) 10 out of 10, good vocal ranges and will be on repeat for a long, long time. (Another favorite) All of My Problems: sounds like SMAL,MST era. Maybe it was about to make the final cut but Scrim decided not to add it? Not sure, but it’s a good one again. The fact that Ruby points out a post I remember seeing on Reddit about them dying in early 2016 and being replaced by doubles. Hilarious moment. 6 out of 10, album is doing good so far. (R.I.P. to Juice, X, Peep, Pop and Mac) The Light at the End of the Tunnel: pretty good instrumental background, backing vocals got me nodding along. Has your average Ruby cadence and Scrim going stupid for a brief moment, nod out to Germ (BAD SHIT!) made this one a good one again. 8 out of 10 Drag ‘Em to the River: Halloween Theme and I swear (I hope I’m wrong, but if I’m right, I’m ded 💀) a sample of the series Scooby-Doo: Where Are You? This one has me going stupid crazy, jumping and cleaning hella fast. This one is a really good sound. Both Ruby and Scrim went stupid on this one. 9 out of 10 Us Vs. Them: The very first single that they released and I can tell this one is a nod to their early years, the sample of THE_EVIL_THAT_MEN_DO is a hella good choice. I swear I’m glad I held off listening to these songs before the album dropped. I went in expecting another Razor album sound, but it’s a 2015/2016 sound to each song so far. They weren’t kidding when they said it would please the old fans. But everyone has their own opinions. 10 out of 10 for this one. KYS5: Good end to the album. Isn’t it so convincing? Cause I figured them some dead motherfuckas. Jokes aside, my grey gods, this shit as so god damn good. It will forever have a place in any playlist I make. It’s got damn good replay value. If I had to rate this song, it would be a 10 out of 10. 59 out of 59. Hella good. Lemme know what you or any of you commenters think.
