It's taken two years to get to this point and we couldn't be more excited ... finally the last of 46 chimney pots is put into place on the château roof PLUS our artisans make an interesting discovery whilst working on one of the château chimneys.

France and England are of the few countries that have artisans who can restore ancient buildings. They are indeed a very breed in this modern age. So, I think for them it must be an awesome experience and challenge, when they get the opportunity to work on a restoration project. Love from South Africa 8:45

We hope that our project can help play a small part in supporting the retention of these skills. We also hope that our videos, which so often include interviews with the artisans themselves as well as showing their incredible skills up close will help keep interest in these trades alive.

I love to whatch the restauration work you are carring out and beleive all financial help is weelcome....is true that thrue RU-vid you can fet some generous amount and i have been checking about the legendas whic are avalaible just for a few languages...so i suggest you add many other different languages so i beleive that you will get much more succed I am portuguese, in the 58y, speak and understand english weel but this is the the south and the money is is the north.... I wishe you all the best and much sucess

Bon Felicity, maintenant que ton français décolle pour de bon, je te parle comme une française si ça te va? ça fait comment d'être témoin d'œuvres des compagnons du devoir? dés que le toit et les ornements seront fini, ça va vous faire un bien immense d'être enfin au sec, les choses devraient vraiment à ce moment là devenir plus facile pour les travaux d'intérieur, la dépose des têtes et des mitres de cheminées représentent un moment important, joyeux noël et meilleurs vœux pour 2024 à vous!
