Pictures make it look a lot better than the current C8. Think this video is just click bait. Is this going to be an SUV that only seats 2. How much SUV type stuff can you get in it?
real talk. GM has indeed discussed the Corvette having multiple models as a "stand alone" brand. and GM has discussed the possibility of an SUV variant. many of these product vetting talks were had years prior to the pandemic & the onslaught of growing EV market however. just like it took decades before GM made a rear-engine production Corvette reality - this SUV concept has been a topic of "backroom" discussions for awhile. and remember GM is currently working on the AWD Corvette as well. idk about this product timeline mentioned. but a concept could be shown in 1-2 years. considering the long-term interest in the Cayenne, Urus, & the recent Purosangue. a supersport-type Corvette SUV isn't really a far-fetched idea today. look at how the Purosangue is made - GM is capable of producing the same 4-seater sport SUV but they want to keep it within a particular price range for wider appeal & sales.
I concur. A turbo 4 banger in a Corvette will be disastrous. Former GM chairman, Bob Lutz said, "[A Corvette SUV must have a] gorgeous interior. No V6 powertrain. No low-end version. It has to be the stellar premium sport-utility made in the United States, and the Corvette brand could pull that off.” I hope the decision makers at GM/Corvette haven’t had a change of heart.
@@Dogsbody6162 they ruined corvets by trying to imatate a real super car, A vet cannot come 1/10 th of what a super car is, They should have kept the vet like they were in the 1950s ,
Little by little performance cars will be going thru many changes. Many old school enthusiasts will not like. From what I've seen already ..... Here it comes...... the Advent of new school autos.
