Can someone confirm if it’s a solid spruce top? Both Fesley’s website and Amazon say it is. I’d just like conformation.

Fesley does a great job of making good instruments affordable. I like this 12 string. I personally would not play it often enough, but it has crossed my mind a number of times, mostly to mock Led Zeppelin. Thanks for sharing this Richard! It is very nice at an amazing price!

Not to shabby! Just remember 1/2 and 3/4 (e,b) are tuned in unison (the same pitch) and 5/6 - 11/12 (G,D,A,E) are tuned in octaves. That's it.

The greatest 12 string ever was one I had that was made by Adamas - A high end brand owned by Ovation. Similar style to Ovation, but way higher quality. That cost over $2k. Of course, they don't exist anymore, so I can't buy another. Currently I have a really cheap copy of that one, made by "Cozart". Cost like $180.

12s have flavours not found in 6s. Tuning makes or breaks the sound. And getting your fingers accustomed to the double courses can be hell. But you can have a lot of fun with the thing.

I had a Takemine 12 string ac/el. Ended up selling it and then years later found myself wanting another 12 string. But this time I went full electric and got an Agile 12 string LP copy from RondoMusic. I feel the full electric 12 string guitars are easier to play than the acoustic/electrics. But the one thing that stays the same is, no matter if it all electric, acoustic or acoustic/electric......they're all a pain to tune.

I've been playing since the 1960s and one thing that I have learned is that you get what you have paid for. So how can they offer something that's any good for such a low price? One possibility is that the people who build guitars for Fesley are getting paid five bucks a day which is terrible.

I got my black electric about 6 days ago, had to do a little fret work on some minor fret sprout, but other than that I'm really happy with it, although there is a spot in the spring cavity that looks weird, and the paint in there scraped off with my fingernail and in that spot it almost looks like some composite material????? But other than that it shreds lol gotta tweek the trem a little. But I'm looking real hard at that 12 string, ya buddy

With the phone mic it sounds thin. With the pickup it is pure piezo quack. It makes no sense to me at all that you didn't properly mic it. It might actually sound good if properly miced up.

Because it's an acoustic/electric. The whole point is that it plugs in so you don't have to mic it. So that's what needed to be demonstrated.

DUDE what are you talking about, you play a 12 string just like a 6 string : there is no magic sauce or technique to play a 12 string!!!!!! That also applies to a 7 string or a 9 string acoustic guitar. I have been playing for 53 years on acoustic guitar ;so trust me I would of heard of it if it was different!!!!

I've been playing it for more than half a century myself. But if you pick up a 12-string for the first time, even after many decades of playing a 6-string, you might be mentally prepared, but you're not physically prepared. There's quite an adjustment, and your finger has to cover twice the amount of thickness. But with a little practice it's a pretty smooth transition. By the way, congratulations on your purchase. You play it great!

I've Noticed that U hardly ever use your Pinky. Try using it more. Then U will be as good as Malmsteen. The Guitar sounds great. Love the way U play acoustic sounds.
