It won’t happen. For me business growth doesn’t mean more tools. It would actually mean less tools. Getting jobs that require just me or maybe a camera package. That’s the goal.

A7SIII, I feel is the best value and only camera in that price category with the low light capabilities. I considered another one because B&H has education pricing at $2800 on them. That is a great price and I have never overheated at 4k, 10 bit, 422, slog3.

@@davidmorefield The one thing I would watch out for is the sensor IBIS wobble. So far I have solved this issue with the A7SIII by changing the steady shot adjust in the image stabilization settings to manual and then manually entering the max focal length of the lens I am using. This has been my only issue with the camera so far. The crazy wobble ruins footage at the longer end of some lenses. This seems to fix it. My issue was primarily with the 35-150 Tamron.

Would definitely say look into the hatches for production. Was dead set on a Mazda 3 hatchback ended up getting a cx-30. Basically the same car but with a bit more room. Still a fun driving experience with enough room to throw in pretty much all of my lighting/grip kit and cameras.

I love that 212 battery. I'm using it on my FX6 and Komodo-X. The amount of ports is amazing. Since buying the first one, I've bought two more. They are heavy but I love all the juice and usb-c and barrel connections. Only issue are flight restrictions with such a large battery. Congrats on the new camera!

Make sure you get the DJI Mic 2 adapter for Sony cameras. You can plug it directly into the hotshot of the a7Siii. I’ve seen people use it on their FX6 but yet to see anything official

The DJI mics are great for social content, especially since its socially acceptable to have them in the shot on social. Biggest thing to watch out for is the 2.4ghz performance in crowded areas. The UWP system will be your go to there. I need to pick up one of those 212s. I run the 99s and love them.

I agree - a few weeks ago, I was hired to do a lot of production at a 35k+ people festival. How well do you think my Sennheiser AVX and Rode Wireless Pro did, compared to my Sony UWP-27d ? It shouldn't be hard to guess the answer :)

One of my friends runs a clothing company and he has the civic type R it’s a pretty nice car he’s able to manage carrying high bulk orders constantly every month so it’s definitely more then enough for camera gear, especially if you ever plan on buying anymore gear your already future ready

i drive a hatch, VW GTI. She's served me well - can fold the seats down and make a ton of room and i also have a nice drive to and fro. Im either gonna replace it with a pickup; something small like an older ranger or tacoma or a van when the time comes.

Yeah same thoughts. They are practically in the same price range but fx3 is much more versatile and is built much better for high paced work flows

Yes, it’s affordable, has the specs I need and I like the evf. I got this one for a grand cheaper than I found any fx3 on the used market. The xlr handle is pointless for me. If I need audio, I now have two dual wireless lav systems that plug in through the MI hotshoe. Sony UWP and DJI Mic 2. The xlr handle would require me to have more cables and be bulkier. That is what my A Cam is for. The longer I do this, the more I realize the efficiency in keeping small cameras, small. And keeping big camera, big. They have specific purposes. I have an A Cam that is built for that. This camera is to remain stripped down as a B cam or for gimbal.

@@davidmorefield true, 17.8 cu ft compared to 24.5 on the Civic. Definitely a fair difference, surprised it was that much when I just looked it up. The AWD might be nice sometimes, though. But what do I know, I drive a Camaro SS, an MR2 Spyder, and a Chevy Suburban, lol

what's the monitor? ive seen some used smallhd 501's for like $200-300 on MPB and am curious if those older smallhd's are better than a bigger power hungry ninja

They have about one third of the power draw. That’s one of the reason I picked it up. Also bc it is compact, 1000 nits, sdi/hdmi and is a little tank. Smallhd502 bright

From my colleagues and friends who have them, they have said it is not a prevalent issue. I’ve actually had fx3 owners say they’ve had overheating just as much.
