Washington NC. Bills hot dogs. Home made sausage. Extra onion. Extra mustard. Chili. Then head across the Tar river and play Cypress Landing Golf Club.
Glad to have yall in NC. Are yall still here? Tobacco road is a must play, or pine needles, rent the electric scooters to ride around on...its amazing!!!! KGNS!!!
Love a juicy slaw dawg! You both seem to be enjoying the road trip as much as we enjoy riding along with you. Curious how Goodwill stores are different in each state. Keep having fun!
Hartford for the WIN!!! You guys are the best, I wish I had a fraction of your club knowledge. I feel like I've learned a lot in a short period of time and it's thanks to you two❤
I'm with you on Adams golf clubs. I have the Adams 2014 Velocity Slot set 2 Hybrid to PW, V3 Gap wedge, A7 Putter. It took me a long time to find the 2 hybrid. I replaced my 5 wood with it.
Loved seeing the Nike Slingshots!! Gotta say....after adding new shafts, regular flex, making them 2.25 inches longer ( I am 6'6" after all ) and having the irons themselves bent 3° upright, and 2° stronger, they are the best irons I have ever used! Although...I probably would have bought the 845's because that was the set of irons my late father was learning how to play golf! I have to say...one of the times we played on a shorter course...his score wasn't amazing...but on the front 9, he only had 11 putts! He also used one of my hand forged putters from "Bristol in the UK" that I had authenticated to be from the last quarter of the 1800's. He was a magician with the flat stick! Too bad he passed in 2010....I would have loved to see a putt off between Ash and my late father!!! I am pretty decent with the flat stick...but he was unreal! And I envy you...getting to eat those Hot Dogs!!!! I'll bet the could make a "Chicago" style hot dog!
I was gifted a full set of the aeroburner woods and driver and Taylormade r7 irons after hitting a few thrift and yardsales. I'm liking them but you guys got me hooked looking to see what I can find
I hope you took advantage to play Tobacco Road when you were in Sanford. I played there a few years back and struggled so much and loved every minute of it. I will make another trip tp play it again.
Jon, I know this is an older video, but you're killin' it in the one-shot practice putts! You've made at least two more since this! Always crutches (or one crutch this time) by the clubs. Hahaha! Great find on the Adams irons!
recently found some adams cc-1 irons (7,8 and 9) at a thrift store. I took them to the range and absolutely loved them. I replaced my p-790s. they have a very interesting history and were definitely worth 3 bucks each.
The good wills are more for cloths in NC and there usually are stores like play it again sports that have tons of used clubs since golf is year round here
Really enjoy both channels and now craving a chili dog! That Ping putter is similar to Viktor Hovland's DS72 named after Doug Sanders if I'm not mistaken. Have a great trip!
You and ash may enjoy golfing in Los Angeles or Oxnard area hilly courses. I golfed with two guys from Florida in for business. They were amazed by the hills and view of valley and mountains Sand Canyon golf course canyon country california
Not sure where you are in your travels. But if you’re in the Chapel Hill/Hillsboro area I recommend Occanneechee Golf Club. Also hit up Allen &Sons BBQ just outside Chapel Hill. Loving the videos.
Scoops, eh? We’ll be going through Sanford in about a month so we’ll plan a stop there. Their dogs remind me of Yum-Yum Hot Dogs & Ice Cream in Greensboro and the dogs served at Martinsville Speedway. I really like that the Goodwills here in NC color coordinate the clothing. It makes it easy to shop for golf shirts. In the Charlotte area the best golf shirt selection is at the store across the street from the Brace YMCA near Matthews. $4-5 for major brands like PGA Tour, Callaway, UnderArmour, Adidas, etc., in excellent condition. I typically find 6-8 shirts that I like every time.
Carolina Bright leaf hot dogs. Im an NC native, those are a staple here, and scoops is one of the best places for them. Enjoy the videos. Have a fun trip!
No way! Yall were in my local play it again sports?!? I wish I had known, I would have loved to come say hello, your channel is quickly becoming one of my favorites
Just a heads up, this is just the "Goodwills of Eastern North Carolina" that look like this. The ones in central NC, Western NC, and the Charlotte Region are a lot more normal. Have spent many hours in Goodwills across the state!
Yea it’s slim pickings for good clubs at Goodwills and Salvation Army’s in NC. I’ve found a few but they’re few and far between. Y’all make it look easy in Florida.
I was in retail until I retired. We used bins. The reason is that people love to rummage thru a bin. They are like hunting for treasure. We used to do books, cds., dvds., beanie babies, tools and clearance.
Best irons ever just bought a new set they are like new my old ones got stolen been playing thees like forever can’t find a better iron for me anyway would love to know what you think of them now in comparison to newer clubs
I was playing the Adams Pro Gold irons up until November when I found a deal on an open box of P790s. Had the P790s fit for me and found out the Adams Pros were probably too long and too upright for me. Still love them and I'll probably have them cut and bent down as my back-up set...
Hey Jon, I picked up a full set of Adams A7 Idea irons and hybrids + bag @ $42 in a thriftstore. (pretty rare to see golfclubs here in Europe) Are they any good? I just love to watch your channel but have never hit a golfball haha.
Worlds Best Dog open for discussion 😮 Approved By Ashley & Jon Good Enough For Me⛳️ Great Purchase On The Adams⛳️ Happy Travels All The Best⛳️ Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
I asked the Goodwill near me is they ever get clubs. They told me they we "put out the good stuff, and get rid of the rest"... I also live near Indiana, so can't golf nearly as much as in Florida. So I can see not a lot of stuff being up here.
ROAD TRIP! So nice to see you guys. I have a group of collectors and hunters in the Chicago area. If anyone wants to connect we're about 10-15 deep. I want to create a network of traders to make things easier.
Yeah North Carolina Goodwills are super strange. Every once in a while you can have a good find but they almost never have decent golf stuff that I’ve seen.
Picked up my Adams Pro Gold irons at Play-it-Again Sports, too! (Y’all got the better deal though.) And it was because of y’all that I even considered them. Now I love the old Ben Hogans, as well.
