hi friends! thanks for watching 🎃 I have been notified that the author of the tea dragon society changed their name to Kay and uses they/them pronouns! I wasn't aware (think I have an older print version of the graphic novel) but will pin this comment to make sure new watchers all know how to refer to Kay if they ever buy and read their amazing work
Sorcery of Thorns has always felt wintery to me, so I keep putting it off (and then forgetting to read it in winter hahaha) but maybe it'll be the next book I pick up 👀 Enchantment of Ravens has the most autumn-y atmosphere and gave me Howl's Moving Castle (book version) vibes in the way the main characters interacted! Margaret Rogerson really has a way of making the reader feel transported :')
Okay now I need to read enchantment of ravens RIGHT NOW will order it immediately omg hahahaha 😤😤 and yesss there’s lots of snowy scenes in sorcery of thorns!
Hii i love your videos and book recommendations! if you could maybe could you make a video about lgbtq+ books? that would be so cool! (Also sorry for the weird wording of this im so bad at talking and typing or whatever:)
honestly for most I've read them a while ago so I don't remember... hahaha. I do know that sorcery of thorns has great fall vibes and a few wintery scenes, the tea dragon society is split into chapters based upon the seasons so it does have a chapter on fall too. Ninth House might be in fall... but I don't remember and can't find it online hahaha.
For horror books I will always recommend Stephen King, specifically the one (and only) story that made me put the book down because I couldn't finish it in one go because it was so creepy. The Man in the Black Suit a short story that is found in Everything's Eventual.
Currently reading Trick Mirror by Jia Tolentino, but I know after finishing it I will be craving some fantasy for autumn 😅 I’m really excited for The Devil Makes Three by Tori Bovalino, the synopsis gives me some dark academia vibes and it is apparently YA gothic horror! Margaret Rogerson’s new book Vespertine is also top priority on my autumn tbr! 🍁✨
I've just finished The Song of Achilles, and I'm about to start reading Circe (I'm late to the party and basic lol). And The Historian, I don't know if you've talked about that one in your previous videos but I've seen it recommended for autumn. I'm only a few pages in so I only know it's supposed to be historical thriller, gothic, about vampires...so it sounds interesting to me. I love everything about autumn, and I love your recs! 🍁🦇🎃🧡
