Bummer on the van ... seems like nobody any more knows how to do stuff right anymore. i got hit too. went to pick it up , lower part of the paint all orange peeled. can't believe they tried to give it to me like that. then they tell me it's how it's supposed to be lower area. i said let's look at other side. smooth paint on other side. Just crap workman. crap sales man. it was a Ford " Dealer " i thought they would do great work compared to outside shop. being a " dealer " boy was i wrong. should have went to outside shop. No Craftsman left in the world after my generation dies. i'm 60+
Sooo…. Mercedes requires it go to an “authorized” Mercedes shop and for sprinters here that’s ONE option. I actually took it to my body shop and they could have fixed it BUT we have a 100,000 warranty on this and having any work done outside of their system would have endangered that. It was completely rediculous. We’re gonna take it to the dealership and ask them if it’s still worth what it should be like this…
You should have not took back the van, and made them do the job right, for $11k I would have not paid them until the job was done corectly. I would let the insurance adjuster see that and I'm sure the insurance would go after them for piss poor job.
