Ruchi: I was busy editing the vlog during lunch while everyone had lunch and the food got over. But my mother-in-law again prepared lunch for me. Look at this, it's lamb with vegetables and this is salad with pickles, it's sour. Ivan screaming on the machine and playing. Ruchi: Ivan(Babbu) is playing on slot machine. Somebody gifted us a slot machine. How many of you have ever played on a slot machine. Please COMMENT below and tell me. Actually, I was wrong, nobody had lunch therefore lunch got prepared late. Here we are eating together.🥢 I don't which veggies are these but it has been boiled and the excess water has been squeezed. They'll eat this with the soyabean dip. Ivan weeping while sitting on the floor. Ruchi: "Babbu(Ivan) what are you playing with?", "Are you upset?" I think he is sleepy. I don't know what has happened to Ivan, he's stomach is constipated regularly. Probably he has some allergies, I think he is allergic to dogs. Can't tell for sure 1st feb 2021 Look what's special. Lamb with onion, etc., it's called palagoa..(couldn't figure it, my bad). The other dish is vegetarian, it has cabbage and glass noodles made up of starch and here we have tofu with green chillies. We've got some pickles, and some masala(spices) dip of peanuts. Babbu(Ivan) is so happy to see the palagoa.🫕 "Eat babbu, some potato🥔 it has." For Ivan, his grandmother has prepared polenta it's made up of Chinese pearl millet. We also have squashed veggies (for Ivan) which people eat in Japan as well. Time for Ivan to sleep🥱😴. 2nd Feb,2021 Ruchi: "Mummy has cooked special vegetarian feast again. First we have, glass noodles with tofu and cabbage🥬 which people eat a lot here. The side buns kept here are actually of maize 🌽 and it has sweet red beans inside it. Evening time Ivan playing. Ivan: "cartoon", "cartoon"🤩 Ruchi: "Cartoon, later babbu." "Ivan likes playing with phone's keypad especially because of sound while dialing number. He takes everyone's phone to play with keypad. Ivan crying. Ruchi: He started crying when we took the phone. We couldn't go to parlor/salon during lockdown so his grandmother gave him a weird haircut. But hopefully they'll grow in few days. While playing on phone, Ivan mistakenly dialed a call 📞 to his grandpa. He went outside with the dog 🐕 for a walk. "Ivan speaking gibberish to his grandpa on phone." 😍 3rd feb 2021 Ruchi: "Babbu no". Look our first dish is here. Mummy is cooking as usual and this is celery which is a vegetable and potatoes.🥔 This is celery and potatoes, potatoes aren't too boiled but rather crispy. Here comes baby's food which is porridge. He can't eat rice so we give him porridge. So here we have a pork dish, pork stir fry with tomatoes. "I lot of people ask me, why I don't cook Indian food here. It's because here in China it's, festival time, new years which is China's most important festival. During these 7-8 days when they celebrate they have all things traditional. So, I just thought it's better if they make their traditional food, you know." 4th feb 2021 Ruchi: "It's the vegan fish I told you about which is of soyabean. It's texture is similar to fish and tasty. I eat it with barbecue spices. So, Odin had barbecued it and just gave me. This kind of food here is invented for Buddhist monks because they do not consume flesh and are vegetarian. Tofu is a good source of protein so it's a good idea to cook such dishes with tofu. Ruchi: "Babbu(Ivan) look" "Babbu is little upset, why babbu?" "Hey guys, I am in backyard of my Jilin house. Right now the temperature is -24°. Its a rural area and I'm here in a village which is in Jilin, China. Jilin is a province here. So it's been long we're here, about a month. But I couldn't shoot a vlog because in some nearby village there were cases of COVID19 so lockdown happened. Today lockdown got over so we can go out finally. We are going to see some of our relatives. Today finally we can go out otherwise for so long we weren't allowed to go out even for shopping. Today, I'll show you guys something. See behind me is Odin and Ivan. I have made Ivan wear warm clothes so that he doesn't catch cold and I'm wearing my jacket open and a t-shirt inside this is enough. It isn't that -24° is unbearable but there is one problem that if snow goes inside your shoes it becomes irritating. We are waiting for our relatives to come. If you remember I have made a vlog with them earlier with Xing Xing. We can go out with them, it's 2:00pm here. I'll show you around, look at the snow guys. It's a backyard, I'll tell you something. What happens at first is that it doesn't feel cold but after 5-10 minutes your hands start freezing even gloves don't protect much. I've shown this before we have our fuel which we burn here like, coal, maize, woods. Can you see that building behind? Earlier when we used to visit Jilin we'd stay here. My parents have a flat here. The building itself is so warm. But in traditional house 🏠 bungalow or a villa, it takes a lot to keep it warm. It's so cold here, there are some tires, net and tanks all frozen. I'll tell you once, Odin and I went for skiing and our hands.. no my hands got frozen and my hands and legs started paining. And the temperature wasn't very low, it was -17° or something but was so cold. Whatever money we had given for 3-4 hours we left in just an hour because I couldn't bear it. So yes, it is not very easy if you stay here for long. You cannot stay here for long but.. see you can go out for like 5-10 minutes. So before everyone comes we came inside to eat. See, our gyoja that is traditional Chinese dumplings, it looks like these. Look at these, it the authentic sauce guys, it's not chilly garlic sauce like we eat in India. It has soya sauce, garlic and some sesame oil. Oh my god, look how many dumplings mummy has made, I think 100 or something. See, it's of different kind and a difficult task. I have never seen such hardworking people in my life, really. In this age, cooking so much of food everyday, I don't know how they do. Actually these are for our guests as well. Xing Xing arrived.. And brought a lot of gifts and toys for Ivan. Ruchi, "babbu", Ivan is so happy he got so may toys. Meanwhile everyone talking in Mandarin. He got a cat also, he giving it to his grandfather. Look at this, they brought some sweets (mithai) which I don't know but looks delicious. Today, mummy is looking beautiful too. I have the whole family with me right now and everyone looks so happy. Everyone's happy to see Ivan because Ivan is happy. And this Xing Xing, you guys have met her. Everyone really likes Xing Xing. This is Xing Xing's family. 👪 Mummy is looking really pretty today like some movie star. Odin is sitting so far away. We went to Xing Xing's apartment. Look how beautiful it looks, picture perfect. 📷 We are outside their society and there is a chimney which looks very cinematic. This is their house, looks so good during night time. This is their wine🍷 cellar, how beautiful. It's night time and I'm looking outside the window and people are doing their stuffs. People are doing their regular stuff, most of them cooking, a girl is studying and a lady is washing rice for so long. The scenery outside is very pleasant, see. I like this light so much. And my favorite bathroom again. I am definitely going to take bath here because I'm bored of taking shower in simple bathroom. Today I've got chance so I'll take shower here before leaving.
