Glad to see josh around. Hopefully he continues to come through some more to help on future projects and just to hang out. As the only time we really seen him was him working away for tom
use the spare hoist space for a paint booth, or prep area that's blocked off from rest of the cars so dust doesn't get all over every build your doing, added to this mans idea that's everything all in one, you have hoists as is, he did state lately he wants to do more prep and spray work..
Definitely can't cut the beam. You could put the lift outside so you can easily powerwash the undersides of cars. Or turn it perpendicular to the beams. Can't wait to see the shop polished up.
So good to see Josh. Tom's shop was definitely a vibe but the hassle and drama. You are doing great on RU-vid but you have to take care of Will and Matt and bring everybody up
I'm super glad to see you getting a space that fits your needs finally! The NFS vibes are so sick lol! And the most wanted edit was amazing Matt, did not expect it to work so well!
Big moves my dude, stoked for ya and the crew! Tell Will to lay off the pipe and share some w me 😂😂 the wood stove is smoking bc the vent is clogged or it needs a blower motor
All the years i been watching chris it’s genuinely making me happy with the need for speed edits, the shop, and over all progress shot out to you chris and the team
I'd be stressed about sharing the other part of the shop with someone with such high dollar cars & tools..glad you got back into a bigger space though!
If the wood stove is smoking out the shop it's because it's not getting the proper draw to pull the smoke out. That can be for a few reasons but probably the 2 most common in my experience- 1) you're not dampening it correctly and 2) your chimney has cold stagnant air in it. Heat rises obviously, and if your chimney is full of cold dense air it's not drawing the smoke out. The solution: preheat your chimney. With mine I'll stick my torch it it for a minute with the flame blowing up into the chimney. If its really cold then while that's doing that i take a second torch and just heat up the outside of the chimney.. as soon as you get that cold dense air warmed up and moving it will draw the smoke out the chimney
Awesome to see the expansion, we gotta see a awesome shop transformation (before/after) video. Who doesn’t love a progress video of the epoxy floors ! Maybe like a old JDM shop with the red square for the work area under the lift spaces ?!Keep it up Rudy you guys are killing it
So glad you got a shop bro 🥳 be a good time to get set up... Get Matt into wheel alignments be something on the side and wouldn't take Matt long to learn it... Great shop bro now to get those things all shops need hehe
You gotta get the damper set good on the wood stove so it ventilates properly and it won't smoke out the shop. We use one in ours with a big fan behind it to push the heat around
Cant wait to meet you at LZ World Tour in Canada. Bringing my supercharged e46 m3. Hope some locals get to drive with you guys, would be insane to drift with you!!
I agree with alot of other people here that the lift at the new shop should be put outside, just makes alot of sense as it's at no cost anyways. Keep the ball rolling mate and I wish you all the best, cheers from Australia 👍
Glad to see Josh it would be so great if he was working with Ruddy he's wasted while he is at Tommy's. Great content keep it going peace from Scotland UK
Propane has a lot of water in it and causes condensation/moister. Get some bulk cheap disposable plastic car covers for when you got a sand/grind/fab type project. Looks like a decent shop, hope it works out good!
You should see if you can find a company that will sponsor or give you a deal on a Waste Oil Heater cheapest one I found was 4K but to be comfortable in the shop it’s worth it and you plan to be there a few years
Why do you need a propane heater when the shop already has a furnace back in the left corner, or is that for a different part of the building that you aren't renting? You're also going to want to insulate the ceiling if you plan on heating that place.
Congrats on the shop Rudnick big moves ahead 👌🔥 Also be careful with those propane heaters seen alot of people misuse those things it's not really safe indoors it produces CO good for temporary solution if u keep a door open but not a permanent solution. Ask me how ik lol lost some people in my life to this so just letting yea know
Nice shop. Dont understand you saying not to rush but bringing heavy things and organizing things in the shop without doing the floors and walls lol....
Big freakin CONGRATS to you Chris! So freakin stoked you got your own shop again! You deserve all the best man youve been working your ass off. Keep crushing it. 💪
I'm a professional chimney guy located on long island , I go up to Preston conn , a few times a year to pick up stoves from the stove store , I'd love to stop over at some point to set your stove up correctly so you don't have to deal with smell or smoke ,,,
Love to see this crazy progress, always felt your content was extremely relatable. Now it’s been pushing me to keep making moves. Hopefully to keep this content relatable as I progress !
Suggestion, it would be awesome to see you guys actually do a good job on the walls, floor, and lights. Put some time and care I to it. Would help the feel of the videos more than you know. Love the videos, long time subscriber.
If you would've invested in property and a pole barn 6 years ago it would've been far more beneficial long term than blowing your money on cars you never finish and going on out of state trips when it's not financially affordable for you.
That epoxy hopefully doesn't need a clear coat. When I did a floor with epoxy my friend didn't want the clear and after a few weeks it was very brittle and we had to scratch it up and re lay it again, after we cleared it it's been fine, it's been nearly 3 years so far so good
Congratulations on the new shop! I can't wait to see the progress with the floors and the paint. New lights would be dope too. Keep up the great content.
