It’s not the tire size, the clicking still happens even with stock wheels and new tires. Since you just reinstalled the wheels and torqued the nuts, the noise goes away for a few hundred miles but it will come back, guaranteed. Even square tire setup makes clicking noises. Good try though.
You can also f Up ets system with different overall tire diameters. I went with 275/40 and 315/35 revolutions off by 1 but overall diameter pretty much equal, got the fat car booty haha
Great video! I have been having very bad clicking at low speed, I just ordered a set of michelin pilot sport 4s 255/40 20 front, 285/35 20 rear. Finally replacing my dunlops on my 2017 premium. I hope this fixes the issue, if not, time to remove the rotors to see if the rust spots could really be causing it. What did you torque your wheels to?
Sven I torque the wheels to 98ft/lbs I used this site for tire specs tiresize.com/tires/Michelin/Pilot-Sport-4S.htm The diameter is close but the revs per miles is off by 4 from front to rear. Hopefully that doesn't cause issues with the tcm.
Hey, did it stop the clicking noise it made? I did the same and it stopped for awhile. But after a month plus, the clicking noise started appearing again . I doubt it’s the tyres
Put a little bit of anti seize between the wheel and brake rotor (front wheels) this gets rid of the clicking noise too. A friend of mine did it on his.
@@phothrottle I agree on not over torqueing. However its recommended to go to 110 for track use. I need to check the owners manual to be 100% on that one. The Nismo's come stock at 110. I was getting the clicking all the time last year. It would go.. then come back etc. It would go away anytime I would wash the car.. then come back a week or so later. Then I had some work done on the car over the winter.. When the shop put the wheels back on.. And I picked up the car in January.. the clicking was gone and never came back. I also have a 2017 so I had the caliper clips already etc. But man this was so annoying.
@@feld3d take the wheel off put some cooper anti seize on the wheel hub and the brake hat. I did that and the clicking never came back and it's been several seasons now. Give that a try and let me know.
Cal thanks for the comment. I will definitely keep that in mind. I used this site for reference. It's very handy and has all tire brands. tiresize.com/tires/Toyo/Proxes-R888R.htm
