There is an annoying clicking sound when I turning the wheels in the GTR. I searched the internet to find a solution but no luck. Aramis and I try to find a permanent solution to get ride of it.
Phuong, im hearing a weird sound that sounds like the brake shims when brakes applied but its happening when the wheel is moving. any clue what it could be?
@@phothrottle I have not serviced my brakes. When I tried to install my endless brake pads, the pads I took out had half its life still but I only took out the front right pad. Maybe Ill check all of them to be sure. I did install the second clip.
Im having an odd sound on my 17 GTR. I can describe the sound as a click or almost more a 'snapping' sound with each wheel revolution. I can hear it on both sides of the car from just a slow roll all the way up to normal cruising speed. It gets harder to notice at higher speed because it happens to fast and the car is loud lol. I decided to swap the rotors, hats and pads with new ones. I added lubricant between the rotor and hub and rotor and wheel. No help at all. I am starting to think maybe its a bad steering rack? I dont know what else it could be.
omg I'm getting clicking on the front driver really bad! stock rims stock tires! and it's annoying! I went to 110ft-lb but it didn't even stop. I hear it when I turn right really loud. but driving strait I hear nothing! (2021 bayside blue gtr)
You have to take the disk off and clean behind it. Has happened loads in the uk and that solves it. You also need to torque it higher than manufacturers recommend
A lot of owners have tried these methods and they are temporary fixes. We need a permanent solution. Over torquing the lugs will cause premature ware and failure on the studs.
Hi from Denmark 👋 Thanks for the video 😊 I have the same problem with my GT-R from 2016. I have tried the same like you in the video, but it didn't work. So now I think I will try with some new brake pads from Bosch I can buy from my work, I only give 45usd for them, so it is worth to try 🤞☺️
