I believe they're in this eternal war against haters and their own internal demons, however, they never give up cuz they're stronger than that or anything else cuz they've got each other and us Army, their army, always with them. We are their weapons, and above all, they don't give up hope. At the end I think they tell us to count on them as hope as well like , let's jump off this fucking cliff of doubt and live, we're there for you as you're there for us, let's fight against anything, we can do it. .. one of the best of their mvs, i guess... Jimmy Fallon asked RM what the song meant and RM just said "Bring it on". Asked to explain he said that they know that there will be hardships and criticism and negativity always thrown at BTS and ARMY (not the exact words, but the basic sentiment) but whatever, bring it on. ON also references one of their earlier songs, NO which is a call to rebellion against the strictures and expectations of Korean society on their youth. BTS songs always have layers of meaning and threads leading back to their earlier work. No wonder people describe being interested in BTS as jumping into the rabbit hole. Thank you for your thoughtful reaction, really appreciate it, so different from some reactors who have a "once over lightly" approach.

The ON m/v is also related to fake love, or atleast i think, in fake Love when jungkook in the gray shirt is in the building, in front of the water fall, a door opens in between the fall, and he goes through it, and then in on, at the start, Jungkook is seen running in water,in the Same shirt, he is running out of the water, and this time his hands are tied up, but they weren't in fake love, telling us even though he escaped one prison, he still is in another, i think-

What especially hit me with this song is when Mera (another RU-vidr) talked about what it meant to her and how it helped her in her fight with her illness. Especially the line "Bring it on, bring the pain" gave her the strength she needed to keep on fighting. The effect that music can have on people is truly astounding. And I don't wanna rag on them because I really like these two groups for their own music but Verivery and TOO's cover on Road to Kingdom pales in comparison to the original.

This song got me hooked to BTS. I have had chronic pain for 28 years now and it really helped me to keep on fighting. btw. I snort-laughed when you spoke about bird symbolism and then just quietly pressed play again.

Just have to comment on the bird symbolism, because it's all a matter of personal beliefs and opinions. For example, many people consider ravens to be bad omens and owls to be wise and good, but many others believe ravens to be good omens, wise, etc, while owls are the bad omen. So whatever your bird tattoo means to you is what it means, and no one can take that meaning from you just because it might clash with their beliefs. Hope that makes sense. Peace. 🖤

the red cloaks remind me of the black cloaks from Fake Love! :D although maybe its easier to remember it if you happen to check out the extended version of Fake Love? wait…did you…or was it the normal version 🤔 the extended version has a couple extra scenes and pov in the mv itself while also having an extended scene at the end

I love all the symbolism in the mv. I read once that all the drums behind Jimin refers to all the drummer boys that would go in front of the armies and be the young innocents that have fallen in war. Bookish Theories did a great explanation video of all the religious symbolism used. I love love love that about BTS' movie videos.

The aesthetics and message of the On Kinetic Manifesto is pretty much my life’s reaction to adversity and my “thing” in fact in my younger days I very much dressed up like those back up dancers. The song itself has a lot of Jungian symbolism and the MV has so much religious social symbolism it almost gives me a headache but in a good way. They are so extra, always.

I'm sorry for saying this but it's so hilarious to me that you can pronounce the "j" in "Jimin" and "Jin" but Jungkook suddenly becomes "Jean Kook" like he's French😂. I hope you've checked out how to pronounce his name by now😉. PS. Not trying to start any drama, it was genuinely funny to me.
