Very educational, thanks! You could've probably spray painted the frame matte silver to maintain the color scheme, but the black does look fine. Good job! Thanks for posting!
Yeah I thought of spray painting it silver, but when I saw the latest Golf R the frame is in matte black. Although the frame I got is made in china, the paint job is actually pretty clean and smooth. So I decided to leave it as is. I think it looks tough in black. Thanks for watching!
Could you have used the OEM silver frame instead of the black one you bought online. From your video it looks like you could’ve replaced the haptic buttons with the ones you got from Ebay without having to replace the whole entire frame. I’m curious if you considered that or if this was a choice you made to go with the black frame. Thanks for the videos. I’m learning a ton from you!
The frames are different. Here is a link to ebay of the frame you will need to do the mod. A little pricey to go OEM. www.ebay.com/itm/203532650667 The frame I used is from AliExpress. The one with no buttons. www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807037287520.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.24041802NUWRYf&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa The buttons I got from ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/365129167021
It is a factory part so they are high quality. I was getting tired of the haptic touch. It was ok in the beginning, but I always preferred physical buttons like my Mk6 I use to own.
