Dune is my jam and favorite on this album. Those Yeosang bass vocals pulled me in. When Jongho harmonizes with him at the end is a damn masterpiece. The vocal climb of the pre-chorus flats/sharps is chefs kiss. It’s just beautiful. Edit: that super high vocal on Django is Wooyoung! Seonghwa softly harmonizes!
The "walking piano" and "chello" effect you noticed in Django was actually vocals. A lot of the bass you're hearing throughout that song is Yeosang. ^-^
My favourite song from this album is always changing xD at first it was This World with the cinematic vibes and when i saw the showcase stage...THE CHOREO!!!!???? Then Django with the outlaw vibes and Yunho's gratatata xD scratches my brain Bouncy grew on me after watching their comeback stages 🔥 Then i saw some people reacting to Dune saying that the deep voice is like the devil's followed by jongho's angel voice, then both came tgt at the end...devil and angel, i think that's such a cool concept it became my favourite. Then i saw Outlaw showcase stage and the SATISFYING choreo that matches the song so perfectly plus Mingi's verse and Jongho's very unique high note, he hit that LIVE like what are you doing to me Ateez!? 😭 Wake up is my current fav cuz of it's unique eerie vibes not to mention Captain and Jongho SLAYING the song! i saw music producer reactors say how unique this album is and how brave they are to put out songs like that cuz people might not be used to the pattern of the song structure and such. That's what makes me love this album even more!!
