Yeah but I don’t have time to get the knock off aim 120’s on the Barak 2 so when ever I want to play top tier I just get smashed immediately

As a, in my opinion, decent enough player, I could probably also stock grind the F-16C over a weekend. But it would be so much pain and in the end not worth the effort, when I could instead be flying planes I'm actually gonna enjoy. This is one of the best changes done in a while. I'll certainly go back to the F-16 once the update drops. You're just salty, stop whining.

Decompression will never work until gaijin's balancing formula changes, I even said the same when they were moving stuff from 7.0-9.0 up and thing below them got moved up because they started doing better

It's the same step up as an AV-8+ at 13.0. Stock grind is gonna be interesting for sure. And the F-4F ICE has the same radar as an F-18, so complaining you have a gimped radar is total nonsense. You have a gimped flight model and excellent radar and excellent missiles.

I absolutely love the f8u. I'm working on getting the French one now to really challenge myself since there's no flares.

That is because the extreme overload warning comes up around 10gs but after you hold the elevator for a while at speed the f8u will jump up to pulling 12-15gs which rips its wings

Yeah, once you master net-Ging it at the right times and avoiding wingrips, it is pretty much as powerful as the F8E. But at a lower BR and you really see the difference

@@The_Gaming_Hamster Which Su-25 for Ground RB? If you are referring to the Su-25 and Su25K at 10.0 they are definitely not overpowered. The plane lacks a targeting pod and the laser designator you get on it does not zoom at all and you have to keep that laser within such a small scope in the front of your plane which cannot even look down that much or at all to the sides so you can never get a BVR kills with the laser missiles. Even if you have a teammate scout the enemy player you cannot see from such a distance that you are trying to kill, you still have to fly in the direction you fired that missile and by the time the missiles reaches its target it still puts you within the range of most 10.0+ IR and Saclos SPAAs. You could alternatively fly low and pop up last second firing a big 50kg explosive S-25O rocket at targets within visual range and break off. To that I say, yes it's quite OP but since its only one type of ordnance that the Su-25 can use its SP cost should go up rather than the plane itself. If you were referring to the 11.3 Su-25T and Su-39 ignore my previous statement but also take into account both these planes lack thermals which still makes it hard to spot enemies even if it does have a Mercury TGP this time around

If they don't change it with these BR changes then it'll see even less uptiers and more down tiers till they do.

@@francogaray2649 at 10.0 it's sht cause of all aspects and radar missiles, that's why it got moved to 9.3 in the first place. All aspects at low brs ruined everything.

The Harrier GR.7 is the same BR as the AV-8B and Sea Harrier FA.2, despite only having 9Ms and no radar missiles.

absolutely agree, was researching aircraft the ussr used during the cold war and I never realised they were missing so many aircraft in wt, although whilst it will help to separate the gap theres definitely going to be nations that don't have that many filler aircraft, Japan and Sweden spring to mind (interestingly though both nations do deserve an extra sub-tech tree so maybe the desired filler can be delivered)

Yeah the F3 might actually become pretty competitive with all the navy phantoms moving up two brackets and virtually every plane in it's br range moving at least one bracket up just like the F3

its not the radar its the missile. the 530f is a pulse not a cw missile so it doesnt trigger cw launch warnings like other sarhs do. its the same as other planes with pulse sarhs like the mig-21smt and its r-3r.

@@covidius9511 Unless you get players that know what they are talking about in regards to aircraft capabilities to basically do them. If they did this for the entire game there wouldn't be under BRed or over BRed vehicles anywhere. Just bad players complaining because they refuse to learn and get better.

@@rainsilent 1. The players could never come to a complete understanding with each other. 2. Even if the players magically were 100% on the same page, doesn't mean that gaijin knows/cares. (tho in that scenario another strike might be possible).

I don't know about every plane, but generally they try to only add flares to planes that eventually had flares or had some configurations that had flares, while not necessarily being the configurations we have in-game. To my knowledge, none of the planes you listed were ever capable of carrying flares in any configuration, certainly not the F-104A and C models. I think it would be a huge benefit and make it so you can stick those up at a higher BR where they belong, but I just don't see Gaijin doing that because it doesn't fit their design philosophy, as erroneous as we may think it is.

@@CowBeatsCrow iirc the F-5C was not supposed to be able to carry flares and as such the airframe didn't even have any provisions for mounting them in pods but they were added in game. I can understand where you're coming from tho, that does seem to be the exception and not the rule. Most planes that didn't historically use them could at least still be fairly easily retrofitted with them in reality. Hell, the earliest F-15As in USAF service didn't have them by default, but they could be fitted. War Thunder can be hard to balance sometimes because there's a careful balancing act between realism and gameplay quality that needs to be maintained. At the same time, gaijin seems to flip flop between favoring realism and favoring gameplay all the time, at least this holds true with ground forces. Hell, even Spookston pointed that out.

The Mig19 and F104 could go up for sure, but the Ariete is just too slow to deal with supersonics so it would still suffer with flares. It is closer to a 2nd generation jet like the Mig15 or La-200 in design than these other supersonics, since it’s from 1956 and locks up heavily past 900-1000kmh. The Aim9B was just being made around 1956 so the ariete having flares wouldn’t make sense.

Neither do the A7s and the later SU25s.

Don't, we've been eating real good since it was introduced. Now it'll have to rely on being patient and strategically going after targets as opposed to just dominating the match. And it's very possible it'll see downtiers consistently with all the other BR changes.

@@danaolsongaming Not an f5C player but F5E and I've been fucking patient. If someone took the (turn-)fight, I usually won. If not... there was nothing much I could do. Try to reverse the faster plane maybe but if they decided run and I hadn't drained them of energy before that, nothing I could do. The plane will be so boring to fly now I bet 💀

@@primisto7530 with the new BR changes, I bet your problem will stem mostly from radar missiles or more advanced IR missiles when you're not paying attention. Otherwise you'll be able to bait a lot of people into following you into an energy trap since most will think the F-5C is just "bad" at the new BR. Whereas before you could just fuck around and still walk away with plenty of kills, players will have to actually worry about positioning so that they don't get third-partied when energy trapping someone.

@@Cheesycat0 Does the EJ Kai field six Sparrows, have Agile Eagle wings, and an HMD? (Honestly I'm personally not too annoyed on the unslatted wings of the EJ, but it's an advantage many other Phantoms have over it) The EJ Kai radar is very good, yes, but the radar alone did not make it "BR 11.7" good, and now certainly not "BR 12.7" good. As the other guy below said, it might be justified if it gets AAM-3s. But they don't have them in-game, I don't think they're adding them as its BR gets increased, so I still disagree with its current or future BR increase. I don't think Gaijin is going to add them anytime soon, knowing they barely even look at the Japanese tech tree

@amazingstealth8235 the radar is better so the 7f are better on it. It gets 9L insted of 9g and rhe agile Eagle doesn't matter when the f4s needs to bring an gun pound(and its still an f4). Yes it shouldn't be 12.7 but it's better then the f4s?

yeah i understand the f-5's are a bit busted but to increase the BR by a whole battle rating seems a bit extreme because the planes did struggle a bit in uptiers but i guess we can wait and see but really sucks to see

@@radsbosscraft8476 Nah I mean the F-5A is said to be the same as the F-5C but I had a couple dogfights in the A and it felt like always the C variant had more energy retention than me. Also at any dogfight my plane was spaded and I had ace crew.
