Tony Siragusa marked his knees "yes" and "no" before surgery. I always knew he had a very unique personality, but he is easily the coolest football player i've ever seen after watching this.
When you're big and strong like Goose, you simply don't have to. Hell, Joe Thomas was the same way. If you can't be moved, no sense in practicing. Just play and stand there.
Shannon talking about how Goose doesn't like to practice, doesn't like two-a-days, and just wants to play--and was probably beating his knee with a phone book to avoid practice, was awesome. Hahahaha
Going back & watching all the episodes from this season after hearing that Tony "The Goose" Siragusa, Sr. passed away, last week. I still can't believe that he's gone. R.I.P., Tony "The Goose" Siragusa, Sr.!...
Football is an awesome sport and watching these gladiators is humbling to say the least and helps when I don’t feel like getting up to do my very non-contact job
That's because he refused to become an offensive coordinator again. So, teams forgot about him and teams usually don't hire coaches who have been away from the game because of how quickly it changes over the years. If he would have put his pride aside and became an offensive coordinator again and had a team looking like the 90's Vikings. He definitely would have gotten another head coaching job.
I remember when I grew up in Towson, Maryland, I went to school just a 2 blocks away from the Baltimore Training Camp, from 2000-2003 I went to each of their training camp sessions.
I feel rggie, im also the young tiny corner who tries to find himself in the field. Nothing harder than a corner, were the smallest on the field, but we facing of the best athletes of the other team. We need that tenacity.
Aww man tried to look up most of the guys who were trying to make the squad. Super sad to see most just made a few more practice squads then washed out :(
@@lilcurt195 by the time I got to the end of the season I realized he didn't make the cut crazy because dude was jacked but just didnt know how to play the position to save his life
Brian Billick was a very respectful coach. Really seemed like he cared for his players. When he talked to cut players he treated them well very respectful informative talk about their future.
Shannon Sharpe after Goose surgery LMAO "He didn't want to do the 2 a days and all that so he went to his room beat up his knee with a phone book so now Goose doesn't have to do the rest of Training Camp so that's Goose for you on a Shell" Lmao 🤣
The elderly man watching practice from the stands is actually my Dad. His nickname is Raven Rowdy Ron Ronald Samuel Larry Paxton Smithers the 3rd he was married to Ruth Ann Smithers Mother of 17 including me I think U can guess mom's number 1 Hobbie was My dad he lived on this earth untill the age of 124 years old he past away if my daddy lived 2 more days he would've been 125 Raven Rowdy Ron R I P 1895 to 2019 Also War Veteran from WW1 and WW2 27 year career in the Navy. 7:55
Jack Del Rio wearing a Batman shirt lmao 4:40 I can't believe that this is a thing 9:08: Forgot to add some censors at 26:40, 45:50 and 26:46 parts Look at all those TVs lmao 31:02. Can't believe people(myself included) used to watch shows on that type of TV 35:25 Do NFL Teams take trains anymore(especially on the east coast)? Also go figure Todd Heap is reading a newspaper lol. 45:33 Chad Pennington! 49:47 Not a lot of one tunnel stadiums anymore. Also as of 8/10/18 Baltimore currently has a 10 game preseason winning streak. Imagine being a New York Jet and playing in a stadium that has your city rivals team name and logo on it. I know it is a little better with MetLife in 2018, but still New York should just get their own stadium lol. Sad that there's not enough space in NYC to do so.
Missing the point. Ray was just saying that you can’t call in sick or anything like that unless it’s an injury, they’ll replace you with someone else in 5 seconds. 9-5 jobs aren’t that intense
Signing Grbac over Dilfer looked good on paper, but it took away the offensive identity. We were a running team, even after losing Jamal, we pound the ball and work the field off play action, let your stud defense take care of the rest. Take care of the ball, that was their identidy.
50:15 "...and that kind of attitude, you don't go to the playoffs" ...And the 2002 Ravens never went to the playoffs in 2002 season, winning only seven games. The coach called it.
@@imahustla5029 The Ravens needed Jamal against that tough Steeler D. Terry Allen on the wrong side of 30 and a fundamentally poor Jason Brookins posed no threat of a running game. That meant that Grbac had to win the game for the offense and he ended up throwing 3 picks, including a backbreaking one in the endzone. But yeah, it was a 20-10 game midway through the 3rd quarter so it's not like the game wasn't in reach.
You have Lamar Jackson for as long as you want.. you should be pumped ;) -- He's a project.. never expect him to be a super accurate /efficient passing QB but he's the most electrifying QB since Michael Vick and we have a lot of new Dual threat QB's in the league now.. Lamar has better legs, and running vision + playmaker ability than all of them. If his arm were better than all of them as well it would be totally unfair lol. I'd work on getting him up to speed with the system, some experience while keeping him healthy with little wear and tear before he takes over the starting job in a year or two.
He was a solid head coach, but he won only one more playoff game after winning Super Bowl 35. A coach with an offensive background who couldn’t get the QB situation rectified after Dilfer was let go. I think the game just passed him by.
Looking back at this, you really can tell the way that the show has grown. From this Ravens series, to the Browns series that is on now, they find a way to cut it down, and make it WAY more watchable.
I still laugh at 26:41 when you hear somebody say "Oh, shit!..." in the background. I'm surprised that wasn't edited out, or, censored. The "Fucking-A!" at 26:48 made me laugh, as well... I'm surprised that wasn't edited out, or, censored, either.
