They could make the load screen a set time, they could use like a ready up function in the load screen where both players have to click something to start the game and it shows races/random, they could make the info of the load screen available in game. They won't it's an old game that was never meant to be live service, and they basically did reforged to get the IP of any new custom modes that got popular, in case another Dota happened (so they can possibly make money). Which made the community create another version, specifically to make mods and custom games that they own (and because now mods don't work with bnet versions). They have essentially abandoned their own version while making it so the community can't update it anymore, just to be greedy. Imagine how much Dota would suck if Blizzard had got their hands on it too, it wouldn't be the monolith it is today it would be another Overwatch. It's unfortunate the new blizzard is so garbage, or they probably would if a few people asked in the forums. You can probably find abandoned threads about it with no attention from years ago.

Fiends work fine you just need some stuff at the front. Fiend build lately has revolved around crypt lord, because you have a meat shield hero at the front and/or some beetles as well. Late game you transition into aboms and impale + move in surround is killer against any ranged based army. Grubby doesn't know the meta game at the top level, he's still doing dark ranger which has really been retired by pros already.

I could have sworn I saw him summoning one at close to the time his original base was about to run out of gold, but then later it wasn't there (must have canceled it).

People generally like to play the same race and have matchup specific ways of handling things on that race. It wouldn't work in current WC3 the game is kind of built like that.

@@DoNotFearTheReapa I agree, it would only be interesting for players who know all 4 races at nearly pro lvl (and random players), thats why I asked Grubby about it ;) (wouldnt help me with my NE mass Hunts build thats sure :D )

Silence on Dark Ranger does a better job at countering TC and SS than Howl or Sleep, and I think the only reason he had a chance was getting DR 2nd at tavern. The problem in both these games is losing some of his fiends before he can group 3 of them with his hero. Made him too weak to armies that want to run him over because he cant threaten to focus fire and burst their units without spells. You have to thin out their army on specific timers with this build and he couldn't. He also had slow starts and maybe didn't creep as fast as he could've while the other players massed armies and creeped much faster. I think in these games with late fiends he should play more like a "noob" and fast level 3 path and then he has 3 fiends to rally with and a level 3 DK at T2. One more thing is he took a lot of damage on DK while creeping even after he had other valuable UD units with him. The other units should be tanking and he should coil them if they are valuable. These are all things that just a few weeks ago, Grubby was saying in his videos himself. I think he got bad habits from vsing worse players, his mechanics are still clean but it's just the creeping and rallying on timers is a bit lazy.

Human is more OP, Grubby just played bad against the Orc dude. Watch Happy playing Undead against Orc to see how terrible the matchup is for the Orc when UD is in the right hands.

Because they don't care. Same about reconnecting if warcraft 3 crashes or your internet wents imba for 3 seconds and you get diaconnected. No possible option to reconnect, meanwhile you have reconnect option even in mobile games nowadays

I once saw him playing custom map where you play normally but every player has a timer which if counts down to 0, the player automatically loses. The only way to add time to the timer was via creeping(every killed creep provides a couple of seconds) and collecting randomly spawned time runes which gave you something like 90 seconds or so. He plays lots of other games tho so I guess that's how he doesn't get bored.

1 ghoul gives immediately 20 lumber instead of 10

a ghoul gathers roughly 4x faster than a wisp, and 2x faster than a peasant and peon. The tradeoff is that they cost 2 food. 3 ghouls = 6 peons = 12 wisps. Shredders blow all of these options out of the water, and you will never have lumber problems so long as the shredder is alive. Also, keep in mind that peasants, peons, and ghouls are capable of defending themselves. The only way a wisp can put up a fight is to explode on its own terms or do construction displacement micro. They'll also die to create critical structures. Every ancient was once a wisp. You'll want a lot of backup wisps.

​@@kevinbehan2625 wisps also cost 1 food and they dob't necessarily give 0,5x the amount if Wood that peons or peasants give. So 6 peons/peasants=/= 12 wisps. You gitta remember that even tho wisps give onky 5 Wood per interval, they dob't need to go back to main hall/lumbermill in order to return the Wood to your vault.

It's very strong, but if you know the counter to it as undead (fast expansion), you have a very strong advantage. Unfortunately Grubby did not do a build that could translate into fast expansion, because he thought he was against orcs.

It always amazed me how a an excellent micro undead can foght equally vs an entire army with just 3 heroes.
