Definitely not worth $34! We have to start pushing back against these insane prices on beauty products - even though it's a luxury makeup brand, you know they're making a huge profit from what they cost to make vs. what they charge us for them. Companies/ brands will always charge the most they can for anything (they're never 'looking out for the consumers') I've found CT to be one of the worst - those cheapy highlighters they just came out with. They're pretty on the face, of course, but not $48 pretty!
Agree 100%. This is insanity. Blush for $40 is insane to me. My experience with luxury makeup: I bought CT eyeshadow quad for $15 from my friend who didn't use it, and the formula was just OK. For $15 it's a yes from me, but if I paid $50 for that I would be mad at myself. And packaging isn't something special in my opinion, it's just OK. I also paid $38 for Pat McGrath blush - it's nice, but I would never buy it again (I had a gift card, this is why I splurged). I bought Dior lipgloss in duty free for $30 - worst lipgloss I ever had - sticky, leaves that milky line in the middle of the lips. Horrible. The only nice thing I had is Chanel lipstick - I love the formula and packaging (it's cool, because you press the bottom and it's very sleek), but is it worth $36? No. That's my experience with luxury so far. Maybe it's worth to invest in a great foundation, powder, but not color products.
Congrats on getting PR, Morgan! I love your channel. I think the Pillow Talk Diamonds shade is definitely more worth it because of the sparkle, but it really is hard to justify spending so much on a single shade, even though it's gorgeous. The Ultra Violet shade reminds me of a less glittery version of the Astral Amethyst Moon shade in Pat McGrath's Huetopian Dream palette. That shade is one of my favorites.
Yes! I was trying to remember if I had a shade similar to the UV pop shot, because I like that color but this Charlotte Tilbury one doesn’t seem impactful or special enough, and the one in Huetopian Dream appears to be in the same color family and I already own it 👍🏼
I think the purple one looks prettier and stands out more on your eyes. 😊 However, I will never pay $34 for a single eyeshadow. This is just a cash grab for CT, imo.
Definitely NOT worth $34. I would rather get a single from Odens Eye with 1 of their little single shadow magnetic pan palette thingys lol 😆 those are DEFINITELY worth it! (Depending on which shade you get!) But I am really loving mine and being able to travel easily with a single shadow
So refreshing that despite receiving Charlotte Tilbury PR, you are honest with your appraisal of the products and keep it real. That is why I trust your reviews, thanks Morgan!
Congratulations on growing Morgan! You’re getting PR because you deserve it. God knows we’ve spent enough $ on makeup and makeup artists like you too! And the diamonds does look darker than online. I knew I should of got them 15th I knew they’d come out the day after VDAY. But I was shopping for other things to make the purchase worth it like in a bundle but they showed up in bundles or a duo hit didn’t let me add to cart and I just was like well they’re gone now and I don’t need it. It looks like the ultraviolet is the special shade in mothership 9 huetopian tbh
So, I have a question. Why do you think Natasha Denona did not launch the love face palette for Valentine’s Day? I think she knew it was a bust before launch day and wanted to cut her losses. So the palette was ‘mistakenly’ released on Look Fantastic to get rid of that inventory so they can re-do it. I would love to hear your thoughts.
They are 100% not worth $34 not because they’re not good but the ultraviolet shade we have in the Natasha pastel palette and then that rose gold pillow talk shade I mean come on every rosy brown eyeshadow palette has that color I feel like we all have that 100 times over we have it in Patrick Dimension two pallet we have it in the my dream collection. We have it in the bronze midsize Natasha palette we have it from Charlotte herself it’s just not worth it maybe if she had some like really unique colors that not everybody had but we have all these and they can’t possibly compete with Indy, which are $17 at most. But they are really cute and I’m so happy that you’re starting to get all this PR from luxury brands. It truly shows that all of your hard work has paid off and continues to pay off. You’re honestly living the dream and I love it ❤❤
I actually bought the diamond eyes Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow and was so disappointed I returned it. The packaging was pretty, but the product was just average I can get more shine and glitter from my colourpop super shock shadows.
This right here.. this is what annoys me the most about the pop shots she released she should have just released the really bold and sparkly shades and that's it, and actually had stock for fucks sake lmao
I love the look of pillowtalk diamonds but i'm sure i do have shades similar even in charlotte's line, also the ultra violet shade reminds me of colourpop Ripple supershock!✨💜
Yay I'm happy one of your favorite makeup artist sent you some PR!!🎀 🎁You turned me on to Charlotte Tilbury with all your videos and now I like her makeup a lot too.
Congrats on the PR. You have definitely purchased your fair share of Charlotte Tilbury over the years. I can see these singles being ideal for those people that want a subtle look. $34 seems a lot for an eyeshadow. I suppose it depends on cost per use. I used to only use one expensive eyeshadow single everyday to its completion. Then I would replace it.
Disappointing that the purple isn't the same sparkly formula as the other colors! But I still don't regret picking up both 😅 I have six of the original seven colors (because I'm insane) and I'm obsessed with all of them, they're sooo sparkly and beautiful, and wear perfectly on my eyes all day.
The purple one is way nicer but the price is wayyyyy too high for one eyeshadow especially in this economy. I think we’ve all come to point where we have enough makeup palettes to create similar looks.
Price aside I love that CT violet single shade. 💜 That purlpe looks SMOOTHER than any shadow I have ever seen. The other color though wearable in tone seems to make your eye look more textured. It may look different on us older ladies but I love that smooth formula on your eyes.
Thanks for your input, Morgan! I had bought the blue one when these were first released. It’s ok…but I sort of do regret it. I’ll get use out of it hopefully. ;) Hope you, Jose & your parents are all doing well!! ❤Molly
i’m soooo upset!!! i missed out on the ultra violet pop shot because i’ve been in the animal hospital with my fur baby, and i reallllly wanted to FINALLY try one, and they sold out instantly. but then i got online saw that they’re still both available and IN STOCK IN THE UK, so i contacted CT, and they told me that the ultra violet pop shot WILL NOT RESTOCK IN THE US, and it broke my heart. 💔💔💔 i’m dyinggg to try CT!!! the pillowtalk wand looks absolutely gorgeous as well!!! 💜💜💜
I missed out too, but it kind of looks like moon magic in the Huda Beauty Rose Quartz pallette. I'm going to check some indie brands for similar shades. Hope your fur baby is okay 💜 I know how scary it can get.
@@cassandraanderson3314 he had to have emergency surgery and he’s still not out of the woods yet. i’m a wreck right now. thank you so much for the well wishes. truly appreciate them. 🥰🥰🥰
What’s the deal with CT not restocking these?! That’s so crappy that they didn’t send out notifications to people who signed up for them. Not impressed
The Ultraviolet color does look so pretty but I feel like I already own something quite similar...and it wasn't $34. The packaging is top-notch though! But I already own 2 of the holiday ones so I'll just stick with those.
I thought the ultraviolet one was gonna be more sparkly…. I think that the emerald and the blue-purple shades were more special from the holiday launch last year
I wanted to get this but im at the point where I don't want to buy anything directly from her, the marketing strategies are rubbing me the wrong way. Im only buying secondhand, I always find all this stuff for half price because of impulse buyers.
It’s the same as MAC stars and rockets, and there are also more impactful with shimmer shadows from adept cosmetics, which you get a whole pallet to compliment them with. Thanks for reviewing Morgan 😊
I would love to see you try the starshow shadow pots at Moira next to these, very affordable & very impactful, sparkly- all you could want for around $7 I believe!
Can someone plz make a video comparing these to Oden's Eyes singles? (And by someone I mean Morgan 🙏😃) ... That would be amazing. Because these CT shadows don't look special at all to me. I would rather spend $20 on a single from an indie brand and pop it into a magneti single case that I bought off Amazon. This is what I've been doing. And it ends up being like $22 and I can switch the shadows out, etc. I can get tons of sparkle & shift. Or spend even less on Glam Shops shadows that are gorgeous and super sparkly for only like $4-6/shadow. I dunnnoo. I am all about Luxury makeup if the formula is something I can not get elsewhere. And I do love me some beautiful packaging. But I am not paying for JUST the packaging.
If you want a beautiful purple shimmery eye shadow, you should try L'Oreal Amethyst Quartz Brilliant Eyes Shimmer liquid eyeshadow. It's my favorite purply, glimmering eye shadow and the formula is so easy to work with. I use a flat, eyeshadow brush and it applies beautifully.
I have Smokey Quartz and Rose Gold (I'm certain I have another one ... somewhere 🥴) and I've got to be honest and say "I really don't think these are worth the ridiculous price!" ● First of all, the packaging is a cheap, tacky plastic with childish plastic "gem" stuck on. I mean, just look at Gucci or WA for example, they have beautiful packaging (as do many other brands). ● Secondly, I have gorgeous cream shadows from Bobbi Brown, L'Oréal etc, that perform and look BETTER than these from CT!! Truthfully, I'm not as in love with CT as I once was. Sorry to all you CT fans 🙏🏻 Love ya loads 💜💙💜💙💜
Absolutely agree! I would not buy anything from her and I am really laughing at those darlings 🤣🤣🤣who are still keeping her on piedestal. CT is thief in my opinion, big time one.
@@slopez0926 The packaging is akin to children's play makeup, CT ought to take lessons from Gucci etc. I agree about the glitter too, kinda ruined a great (could have been) product.
Congrats on the PR Morgan. Love CT but I'll be passing as I'm really trying to use what I already have. And when u compared it to PM quad ritualistic rose.. I'll stick to Mother Pat 😘.
I’m a basic, boring mom who has a pretty curated eyeshadow collection. I like these shadows bc I don’t like big, colorful palettes. I mostly use Dior and Tom ford palettes, but I love special little singles to add some pizazz to my neutral, basic looks. I like the single Bobbi brown lux shadows, VB lid lusters, hourglass scattered lights. So I’m happy to have some CT singles to add to my bin of pretty, sparkly colors. That said yes they are stupid expensive, but I’m 52 so I treat myself sometimes 😂. I also appreciate how quickly I can create a beautiful eye with just one swipe. And I do like the packaging of these.
Ty Morgan for all your videos. Most items for CT I just can't afford them. I love so many of them. I hope you will consider me for a CT shadow winner. This blush is gorgeous on you.
Yeah 🎉 once again early can’t wait to see, lovely beautiful Morgan love love watching all your reviews, now let’s keep watching 😊❤🥰😇 have a wonderful weekend 🤗🤩
Hey Morgan! I was looking forward to this review, thanks! Could you maybe give us some dupes for the ultraviolet? I really want a shadow in that shade…
Is it just me or does it look like the blush doesn't blend out the easiest?? I just got one of the liquid blushes from KVD and have really been loving it. It's kind of a serum-like formula and it looks so beautiful almost that juicy translucent formula. And I also just picked up one of the new Kaja ones that is on a keychain. And that formula is beautiful too. It is sort of a jelly-serum liquid blush and just looks so good and healthy on the skin... I guess I am just not sold on things because it from a popular brand. I am always a little skeptical as to what makes it worth the higher price tag? ... but at the same time I just picked up one of the newer pressed powder blushes from Gucci and can 1000% say it lives up to the hype! The formula is phenomenal and so is the packaging. But I also love the Clinique Cheek Pops and those costed me a fraction of the price. 🤷♀️
Hi gorgeous! Could you please try the Dior Denim eyeshadow palette? I love deep blues Cleopatra inspired and I’m really interested in that one and would love to see you demo it and make a daytime and evening look. Love you❤
I got the Diamond Eyes from the holiday release and on my eye it looks exactly the same as the Champaign shade in the “Love Eyes” trio in her Smokey Eyes are Forever palette. They are a touch different in color, but on my eye look the same. I wish I’d gotten the green one or blue one! I think I’ll skip on these. I have all of Pat’s blitz shades. The ultraviolet reminds me of Bodyography pigment in Aura Glow.
Love me some Charlotte, though struggle to find it in the UAE and South Africa. I got my charlotte beauty items through beautylish once. Love your videos.
I resisted too and I love her shadows. But I was drawn to the teal shade (cosmic rocks)....after searching forever its a dupe for the shade in the Juvias place Olori 1 palette ($15). Also a close dupe is the teal shade in Ciate Aspen palette ($32).
This launch was a marketing disaster and made me really become turned off from this brand. The only way I will buy anything CT from now on is secondhand. I refuse to buy anything anymore she literally gate keeps these items to drive demand. Fuck all that.
Totally deserve a PR from CT. Brand should give PR to those RU-vidr who always buy and reviewed their new purchases, instead of sending to Big youtubers who never use them or mention them in video.
Thank you for doing this as you know indie brands n luxury brands I was so tempted to get these as thankfully get a pro discount but I think il save on these n get setting spray x large quantity and pick up the matte blushes n the highlighters for my kit as suit more mature skin
Can you do a swatch comparison with Ultraviolet and other shades? I think there's a similar shade in the Viseart Violette Etendu palette. The Diamonds one definitely has a bunch of dupes.
