Glossier's line is definately for people who prefer skincare to makeup and don't like matte or even natural finish makeup. I do remember the marketing as "model makeup" but for me it really just seems like "everyday makeup". Especially if your everyday environment is more easy going, you can always end up looking out of place with even a medium coverage foundation when everyone else around you is bare faced.
ill be honest, this is my favorite makeup youve done so far. i feel like the glosier products enchanced your beauty without overtaking it and overdoing it
I do this as well and I love it! I mix with medium coverage foundation to get a very skin-like base. It gives that beautiful finish, with more coverage. It's my holy grail!
Random thing that idiscovered by accident recently: a thin pat (like rub it into your fingers first) of futuredew as ayeshadow base works better than the concealer as one. I ended up with more sparkle from my metallic shadows, while at the same time a more sheer look (i.e. more shiny and also les cakey-best of both worlds!), because of the texture of the product plus none of its own pigment ‘diluting’ my shadow
Thank you for doing this review. I am an older gal who has always loved the natural "no makeup" look, and I really like the way this looked on you. I may have to give this brand a try.
Morgan I love this look on you. I wish you would go more for this type of natural look. I’m 68 and have been wearing glossier for a couple years. I love the cloud paints, eye liner pen and their shadows. They have a fragrance called Go that is just lovely! I’m excited that they’re at Sephora. I love applying makeup with my fingers and this brand is perfect for that.
@Sandra Greenberg just asking bc you said you wished she'd change her style even though she said many times in the video that this look isn't what she prefers, so I wondered what it is you'd get out of it if she did change even though that wouldn't be her keeping true to herself. I always find it odd (specifically in BeautyTube) when subs want the creator to change to the sub's preferences, even though the creator's original style is what was there when you subscribed in the first place, but now you want them to change? Just doesn't make sense to me... which is another reason why I was asking.
It’s model off duty makeup! I just wish it had more cosmetic elegance. I feel like I can make this myself 😂 I know you like a full base but that natural look is gorgeous on you ❤
This make up looks gorgeous on you! Honestly, the sheer coverage is perfect for you as those beautiful freckles can shine through. Brows look incredible!
I love the skin tint for a truly, unclockable, skin-evening option that even my mom can't detect! Think like first dates, gym, beach days, etc. My trick is to go a shade deeper than normal and focus on the mid and perimeter of the face. It'll give you a slightly bronzed look, and just like a natural tan, will help lightly even out discoloration.
This video is probably the main reason I love your channel, you give a fair honest review at such a high level! I will say tho, I think this is one of my favorite looks you have done overall! Glossier is definitely great for enhancing the beauty that is already there! ❤
Better quality. Better ingredients. Better pizza. Sorry, I had too. 😂 But you really rock this look, with the freckles peeking through and fluffy brows. I know it's not your style, but it still looks great! I'm more of a no makeup, makeup person, but I haven't been tempted to try Glossier yet. It seemed to be more geared towards college age kids or mature skin. But there's a few items that caught my eye from this vid. 🤔
I wear the skin tint to work - my skin doesn’t look great (rosacea and years of acne scars) but I work in a factory. It gives me a bit of tint and livens up my skin without being heavy or super noticeable if I sweat it off. Of course I do it with full eye makeup because well, I have all these palettes so might as well use them. 😂
I use the skin tint and I love it! It doesnt have a lot of coverage but it does make my skin look more uniform in colour and texture, and it leaves a healthy, beautiful glow
I really like a few products from Glossier. Their stretch concealer, future dew serum, skin tint, & boy brow have been part of my routine. I want to try the cloud paint, lash slick, & sheer matte lip stick. I am 49 and I like Glossier. I am not a beginner, but sometimes I just want that effortless look.
i think those of us with mature skin but nice natural coloring this product would be perfect. to give a soft healthy glow rather than masky looking foundation.
i wear the skin tint because i don’t have much to cover on my skin and i like the natural “my skin but better” look. it’s definitely suited for people who like the makeup no makeup look
The full face at the end really pulled together! You actually look like a 'glossier girl'... it's probably the way your freckles show through the skin tint. Super flattering.
I have generally clear skin and don’t have a lot of need for makeup but I think glossier is perfect. I am younger and find it perfect to just start out with makeup and enhance what I have and not make entirely new features.
I think the skin tint really depends on what color you get. I am deep skinned though. I use G4. And it’s got enough coverage to look like a serum foundation. It’s the same for the concealer. It’s quite full coverage on me and I think it might be because they are darker colors. 🤔
I tried the liquid eyeliner like a month ago and haven't been able to put it doing since then!! OMG it is so precise that makes it super easy to apply, I always have to correct something or re-do one eye, but not with this one 🎉
If you want a hard-hold eyebrow gel, I’d recommend trying the Ami Cõle eyebrow gel from Sephora! It almost feels like hairspray on the eyebrows but in a good way, it really locks them in and doesn’t feel sticky at all.
I've been following you in FB but i only watch the reels so I'm just seeing you now without makeup. Not sure if it's just the camera but you look like you have cool undertone skin.
You make me want to give them a try again. Glossier didn't work for me personally. 😔The Futuredew Facial Oil didn't absorb, but rather sat on my face, was sticky/greasy, and my dry skin was still dry. The smell was also really strong and smelled medicinal to me.
Wow…the concealer looks amazing on you, and seemed to blend effortlessly. I am going to have to try that! The Future Dew, the powder and the eyeliner also looked great. I have 3 or 4 of the Cloud Paint blushes and I like them. Great reviews. Thanks!
Love the video! Also was wondering if you would ever make something specifically for florida makeup tips!! I’m moving there from the Midwest this fall 🥰✨
Even though I personally prefer a medium to fuller coverage base on myself I still actually love Glossier! I love the future dew, the powder it's so lightweight and blurs!, brow flick & boy brow, cookie butter lip balm is heavenly! I also love the shade of the gen g lip in fuzz! it's a perfect my lips but better shade for my skintone & it lasts a long time on my lips✨💖
I looooove ur nails💜💜💜 and just so u know, I just found u not too long ago and uve quickly turned into one of my favorite creators!! I wish I would have found u sooner🥰🥰💖‼️
I found with these no make up make up products, the best thing about them is a kind of act as a fantastic base that leave your skin glowing and healthy therefore when you go in with your heavier products that maybe sometimes don’t leave your skin as healthy looking, you’re able to get the best of both worlds or at least a great in between healthy skin, but the coverage - if you know what I mean ❤
Looks like the skin tint is for me - my skin has a crazy amount of texture lol so anything with more than “buildable light to medium” coverage makes my face look like a map of the Appalachian Trail. I’ve been looking for the most MINIMAL “your skin but better” tint to slightly enhance my skin without creating obvious topography. I’m also the lightest shade in every brand and sometimes not even that, so the more makeup blends into the rest of my skin the better
Something about their skin tint always made the quality of my skin look better. I would be interested to see how it compares to something like Mac face and body, which has a similar finish and similar packaging
@@aviianna i’ve tried both. the mac is definitely not as glowy and liquidy, at least for me. It also provides more coverage, which i didn’t like because i have texture on my cheeks and felt like if i was gonna go for the “no-makeup makeup” look, it kind of made it less natural and made my texture look worse.
I just ordered 3 items from sephora and it arrived with only 2. Luckily they put in a replacement right away but I was like how do I prove they didn't send something lol.
I think I just got converted to Glossier 😂. Maybe not the skin tint because my face doesn't tan evenly but definitely the rest of the brand. Thanks for the review!
Hey lov @morgan turner. Do you think you could do some reviews on simply posh cosmetics? I just received the genuine gems pallette, berry icy showdow pallette (each of which I ordered two of), and a few shades of their neon pigment, and I would just love to hear your thoughts on these and other items from the brand. I know how much you love indie brands and u have inspired me to go waaaaayyyyy outta my comfort zone by trying indie brands. I just really trust your opinion. Thanxx mama!!!!
I like the old balm formula and the neroli deodorant…the rest of the stuff I have gotten is just meh…I wonder if they had to change the balm formula before Sephora would let them in…
glossier’s products aren’t just for a younger audience (or middle school, as you demeaningly stated), just because they don’t give the heavy makeup look that you prefer. i’ve been using it since 2017, in times when i did and didn’t have bad acne. it’s about confidence. the glossier way is about confidence from within shining outward. it’s minimal, yes, but not bad because of that. idk i feel like your your take on the products - at least especially at the beginning - was very back-handed and as someone who has been a big fan of glossier, i really am disappointed by this video.
It’s their marketing and demographic of the clientele shopping there OBVIOUSLY anyone can wear it, in fact their products are great to compliment mature skin. but their marketing targets a younger crowd. So happy it works for you!
I like your look but prefer your usual aesthetic I have to say. Glossier is clearly not my style of makeup either. My daughter on the other hand…she’s 18 and a basic beginner. I might get some of this brand for her. It’s now at Sephora in Australia too.
I’m with the others in the comments, I think everything looks lovely on you! I’ll definitely be checking out the concealer as I need something hydrating. However, please don’t let my child ask to wear anything other than lip gloss in middle school because the answer will be NO! 🤦🏽♀️🤣🤷🏽♀️🤣
Glossier is too natural for me for sure. I think they would seem like they would be popular in somewhere like Korea where they were into natural glow makeup. I'm more of a glam and colourful makeup person with tons of mascara etc. so I don't think this is a brand I would want to use. Their products don't seem worth it tbh, but I agree that they give young 13 year old vibes, although the price seems kind of high for what young girls would want to pay so that bit confuses me. When I was teen I was buying £5-10 drugstore stuff
