This video was perfect as an 18 year old Muslim who is COMPLETELY financially illiterate and trying to get my foot in the door. I honestly appreciate this video, the information and the questions asked as well because it touched on many of my concerns. I recommmended you to many others !
Aysha, I can not thank you enough for this episode. It is AMAZING. This topic has always been on the back burner for me. One of my top goals this year was to be financially literate and to take better control of my finances. Thank you so much. P.S you kind of reminded me of Oprah in this episode. You really know how to ask the right questions while giving your guest the opportunity to answer them fully.
Can you do a part 2 to this but instead add a ‘Q&A for my advisors’ on insta and ask him questions that come specifically from us? May Allah reward you both ❤️
I've been in a similar boat, wanting to invest ethically but unsure of where to begin. Perhaps consulting a financial advisor who specializes in halal investments could provide valuable guidance.
lately they l been investing in solid start ups, art, bonds, digital currencies, precious metals with 'real' backing, while manipulating the stock market decisions as influenced by congress, driven by year round events and consumer sentiment in the past half decade.
This Nathan Travis Cook appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran a google search on his name and came across his website, I set up a call with the correspondence. excited to explore opportunities.
I neeeeeed this, I cannot wait to listen to this when i get a chance. It's SO important and I get lost in the world of investment vs halal investments, don't even have a clue where to begin.
Love that you were willing to sit down with your financial advisor and share this knowledge with us!❤ the true definition of an influencer making it out the hood and lifting the rest of us up with her 😭😭🫶🏾💖
As a 27 (almost 28) year old with debt that feels impossible to get out of this was a refreshing topic to see shared. I wonder if anyone has financial tips for getting out of debt when your income isn’t enough to really make an impact. Feels like I’m going in a financial circle, never moving forward.
Salaam Aysha! May Allah answer all of your Dua and Intentions during and after the Holy month of Ramadan! This Ramadan Daily vlog was very helpful. I think it resonated with not only your 20's audience but also your 30's and up audience, such as myself. Financial topics is always something that most people put to the side and just tend to focus on now and not later. However, having Ziad explain important points such as 401K, IRA and Roth IRA definitely brought a lot to light. Thank you again sister Aysha! Looking forward to more Ramadan Daily's! Ramadan Mubarak!🙂
Thank you for opening this conversation, may Allah reward you. This is why I started my channel, because Muslims, especially Muslimah’s need to be financially literate to make impact and change in the community. I’m not heavily on the investment side but I’m all about proper management of money and saving so that you can invest. JazakAllah khairan, much appreciated
Thankyou so much for this video honestly! I am 29 and never thought of halal investing before and I really wish i did start sooner! After this video I reached out to a financial advisor and opened an account and it doing well elhamdulilah ❤ thankyou so much 😊😊 you also asked all the questions! ❤❤
I'd love it if you made more similar videos (featuring guests, on educational topics) in the future! :) I would also love if you could share any experience you have with Canadian finances too as someone from Toronto.
This just made me sit back and think how much do I want to have in my cash savings when I retire aside from my pension. WOW!!! I am so inspired for work on Monday.❤ Thanks Love!
Thank you so much for making this video, it was so insightful and refreshing to learn about finances through an islamic lens. I had “improve financial literacy” on my goals list for 2024 so this perfect timing! I would add (for any muslims): figure out if and how much zakaat you owe as one of your initial steps in order to purify yourself and your wealth as this is considered a debt to be payed to muslims in need and contributes towards social and economic justice in the community ✨ May Allah reward Ziad for his efforts to educate others on finances from a perspective that is grounded in values and may he reward you for helping spread this knowledge 💞 PS love your channel - OG subscriber here 🫡
Riba is such a huge deal in Islam, that I'm scared to even open a credit card even if it's to pay utilities. Is there a way to build credit without dealing with interest? Do buy now pay later 0% interest contracts like Affirm help?
You do not pay interest on a credit card unless you do not pay on time. You can use a credit card to build credit and get reward points through your issuer and never have to deal with interest as long as you pay on time!
Salam Aysha, thanks for this video (and ramadan mubarak!) wondering how to approach this as a student? I would love to set up my financial future but currently am a full time student, does Ziad charge? any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
I love the initiative. Once you learn the basics please teach our community how to navigate this but adapting it to east Africa. I am also a fellow Muslim Ethiopian just like you but sorry I am reluctant to follow blindly these organizations. Muslims in our communities need to stop looking up to Arabs for anything Muslim. You are Harari and your ancestors just like mine have been following this religion and we don't need anyone to teach us on how to be good Muslims or how to invest as good Muslim. Because they all come and have their hidden agendas. #sorrynotsorry
I disagree - you shouldn't make accusations or have the belief that other people have ill intentions or hidden agendas. Anyone helping others, especially with halal financial advice, is benefitting the community regardless of ethnicity or race.
@@TasneemChoudhury362you are entitled to your opinion but really as an Indian you are not even in the conversation. I am talking about us muslim of Africa particularly in east Africa. Aysha people along with mine are Muslims respectable scholars so I would like them take the lead. This discussion has too many layers but trust me she knows what I am Talking about. Lastly Arabs have practiced slavery for 10 centuries and we still feel the impact in 2024. So no I will never ever follow their organization just in the name of Islam and it's nothing personal against this brother.
“O you who have believed, avoid much negative assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allāh; indeed, Allāh is Accepting of Repentance and Merciful.” Quran 49:12
Aishaaa I appreciate you so much 🥹 as a current college student the financial status of my future has been on my mind a lot but I never considered how to go about it in a halal way so I just kind of gave up. This video makes me want to not give up and it helps so much may Allah reward you !!!! 🩷
