I was interesting to see a Cadillac unit being worked on I was the only mechanic replace 3 units on three different helicopters in our squadron HSL-32 we had the sh-2F. Loved working on the SH-2F and we all where hoping the US Navy was going to go with the SH-2G. That was some of the best times I had in the navy
Was completely refurbished when Nz got them, and newly fitted out just prior by RAAF themselves. A real bargain considering we paid ten percent of what Australia paid for them only a few years earlier.😁
Used to, now they're seen as a burden that brings very little combat power in proportion to the support they'd need from their allies in the time of an actual conflict.
@@damolux3388 Aside the NZ SAS which are valued in coalition based operations, the NZDF are more a support role now due to limited warfighting assets (2 Frigates, no Air Force combat wing).
