Is it just me that the fragrance community has a culture of boosting a fragrabce more when it's discontinued like I don't get It. When prive and lucky came out people didn't like it and were still buying more of the OG 1million that's why paco rabanne discontinued them but now they are hard to find now everyone is acting like they are the best in the line. Lol.
Facts. I got Lucky and Privée. Nice frags but people doing what they're doing with sneakers. The resale game is retarded to me. Everybody always putting the caption "rare" on something that's only been discontinued for less than a year. It almost makes me not like being a collector anymore
It's just you, there are tons of discontinued fragrances that no one cares about. I assume the the outperformance is at retailers, n u have to consider that not only the scent profile matter there....assume u know nothing of fragrances n walk up to a counter n see paco rabanne gold bottle, silver bottle n bronze bottle....which one intrigues u the most initially?
it DOES happen but not with prive and lucky tbh. prive was really well received in general, in fact people always deemed it the best and most sophisticated million. lucky was a 50/50 thing and now that it's discontinued people give it a second chance.
@@HeavenlyDemon592 but u can test them at the counter and with every purchase they always give samples and people didn't like the new additions to the line when they sniffed them but I'm not saying they are bad fragrances just far far from the best 1 million. I have prive actually a 50ml bottle and lasts 5 hours is good quality tbh and projects for 30mins then becomes a skin scent. The average user dosent care how niche smelling a fragrance is they cafe about how long it last and prive don't last long and lucky I've never smealt but I guess it's the same story with that. Not here to argue just my opinion. Disagree with me ok go spend 100 plus dollars on 1 million prive and don't blame anyone when u realise how bad the performance is. All you care about is tye quality right ?
surprisingly, the Million Parfume this my favourite, just love the flower note in it. So fresh but aromatic at the same time with a touch of leather. Never smell anything like that before.
1 Million original is the best of the line and I wear it in HIGH heat no problem. Seeing as you have included the discontinued Prive it is worth mentioning the best of the best - Absolutely Gold which is so sexy but almost impossible to get hold of now
Tried all of them except cologne. My favourites are Lucky & Parfum. Lucky is a compliment magnet. Parfum I have nothing in my collection that covers white masculine florals. It’s very unique.
I tried Paco Rabanne Elixir and yes it is so disappointing. They have replicated the dna of 'Stronger with you' and Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal. Definitely not my style. Heavy tonka bean, vanilla dominant perfume. Fantastic series Omar, keep it going!
It does resemble other fragrances, Stronger With You, Code Profumo, Dior Homme Intense, Code Absolu Gold and more with the 1 Million DNA. However because of that it smells really deep and sensual dark, sweet, powdery. Kinda the luxurious version of 1 Million - something for the cold fall and winter.
I have a sample of 1 Million Elixir and I like and the girls that have smelled really liked it alot, it is although a fall and winter fragrance combines spicy sweetness with powdery/floral masculinity. It could been inspired by Dior Homme Intense, Stronger With You Absolutely and Armani Code Profumo/Absolu Gold. It is very sweet and has some elegance to it because of the intense powdery and floral notes. Just recently found my way back to the OG 1 Million, yeah its just great and sexy, although there are greater and sexier fragrances 1 Million is so easy. If someone wants a powerful darker more luxurious One Million, Armani Code Profumo is a great choice. Though, it will be hard to find because Armani discontinued Code Profumo this year.
I've been thinking of buying One million parfum for a quite some time now. I know it's very polarizing fragrance, but I tested it at store and liked it more than OG, Lucky or Elixir.
@@SchoolOfScent I'm still debating between OM Parfum and Mancera Cedrat boise. I heard Cedrat boise has been reformulated to hell. Omar, do you know is it true?
Buy the parfum bro I'm telling u it's a beast mode scent and I agree with u I prefer it out of all of them and actually was dissapointed when I found out the parfum last longer than the elixer as I won both. I think elixer just uses more expensive ingredients which only a very trained nose can pick up. So yh deffo parfum is a good scent
I've tested it a couple of times and absolutely love it. Won't buy it as I am trying to cut down on fragrance bottles without selling. But if I could start over it would be a strong contender.
One million was my first scent when I was around 17years old. Since then I stayed away from it because I thought it was for teens only. Yesterday I tried an Elixir tester, and I was sold immediately. Ofcourse lot of memories came back. I like how elixir smells more grown up, and not like it is made for 18year olds. I feel like a cat after smelling catnip when I wear it's so good. 10/10.
I just bought the one million parfum, I think it's a great unusual tropical floral that has lasting power. But I think it should have been marketed as a ladies fragrance.
1 Million Parfum is just probably the best of the line. For various reasons. Most refined, not aggressive, with some underlying powdery sense that gives it smoothness and elevates it above its family range and because of the absence of woods, nuts, smoke, leather and similar notes!
The Myrrh gives it a kinda hookah tobacco smell in the dry down along with that apple n cinnamon…. 🔥🔥🔥 You explained this line of fragrances perfectly! Would love to see a Armani Code line or ADG line video..
I tried the last two today. Hated the dry down on the Exlir version, but loved the opening and dry down on the Parfum version. You may disagree, but I'm an absolute fan of Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet MAN. (The Purple One)
I prefer 1 million Elixir over the original. With the original the opening is lovely but when it dries down on my skin, there's this base to it which I don't like. I think it's the leather in it tbh I'm not sure.
You did an excellent job explaining the 1 million line. I think you should do more lines like my favorite Dior Sauvage 😍, or Bleu de chanel, or the Prada Luna rossa line. As for the 1 million I have Lucky and exilir. I wanted to get prive instead of exilir but the exilir was somewhat cheaper. My plans is to wear the Lucky more during the spring and summer and exilir whenever. I kind of like it but not too crazy of wearing it right now.
Hi omar what are your thoughts on the 1 Million Cologne? I've heard a few opinions on it but but it is very mixed thanking you kindly in advance brother ✌🏾
@@SchoolOfScent Not sure about the availability from Paco Rabbane's website. But IF i remember correctly, Chaos Fragrances said it is no longer available from their official website. So Chaos Fragrances emailed them and Paco Rabbane replied that it is no longer in production. Again IF i remember correctly, this continuation has been brought up by Gents Scents as well.
Yeah right weak i wore elixir at work. and i work in a big warehouse and i kid you not i had girls telling me they smelled me all over that place so elixir well mine is a beast and my parfum.
@@Jack-mj2bs good for you, them prices are gonna skyrocket just like Prive, especially this one was more popular than Prive for people outside community.
What's the point of bringing up Prive when it's discontinued? Might as well talk about 1 Million cologne which is also discontinued but easier to find.
