Excellent video. I did this technique today and felt strong. I notice the swimmers reach is slightly wider outside the shoulder than mine. Is this the best hand entry spot?
Haai SH, have always seen one common factor in every discipline. The more expert one, the more easy it seems to execute. It is a pleasure to see the front crawl executed the way most TI students do. How does one get the single leg beat to one pull of the arm and the perfect rotation. can you please add another clip with more accent on how to develop the skill. rgrds, VishG
ViswaNath GummaRaju personally after many dryland drills, many hours at pool and trying failing to synchronise the one beat, I found a very easy méthode to code my brain: while you're skating on your side (say left side) and your right hand is just about to enter the water, what is expected is to kick with the left leg. so the easiest way to code is: ALWAYS KICK WITH THE LEG *BELOW* and this simple command set everything at the right place.
So it's where your hand "cups" the water just as it hits the water? He says "entry" and "catch"... are they the same, or two different things? I can't understand the terminology that he is using. All I know is that I swim super, super slow yet casual observers say there's nothing wrong with my stroke. Obviously there is. It's frustrating, I have 280-lb grandmothers lapping me like I'm standing still.
