I have wished for the last few days that a new podcast episode would come soon and discover it today full of joy. I really liked the stories from the teens today and that the Plum Village Buddhism is not dogmatic and is repeatedly referred to what Thay said. Wonderful big questions and big answers. I have listened to the episode twice to understand everything correctly, I am an older woman from Germany. Thank you so much for this podcast, for everything that nourishes my heart and makes my practice grow. 🙏

I am grateful to be reminded of Thay's openness to other religions and his encouragement of not cutting oneself off from one's spiritual roots. This is one of my aspirations.

Wonderful, as someone who was brought up as a Quaker and I have also always been atheist, non theist, and as many in the Society of friends believe that "god" is within all of us and does not inherently exist, replace the word god, with mind, or mindfulness, and along with many of the Quaker practices and beliefs and there is an awful lot in common with Buddhism. This all of a sudden is opening many doors for me, thank you.

Wow well I'm going send you the "Quaker Oats guy," and send you some Quaker state motor oil! And if ever the 2 shall meet. You can put the oatmeal in your tank lol or the oil in your cereals whatever works in your heart and head about quakers and Buddhism being of one mind thanks for that "riveting observation. Well back to work, glad I could drive to the doctor for my toothache, that buggie would a been a doozy.

Dear Brother, dear Jo, I love all of the episodes, but I feel this one is really special. I really, really enjoyed it. I'm listening to it for the third time today. I also feel very connected with the two of you during this conversation. Today I feel like I'm spending some time with two old friends. Precious, precious experience. Thank you! I'm going through quite a difficult time right now, and this episode was a sort of refreshing 'dharma shower'. I feel a bit lighter and cleaner.

Thank you for covering where am in my practice. When I thought I was in the right place spiritually, I was to the judgemental one mentioned by Brother Phap Huu. Am currently learning about Theravada Buddhism at a nearby temple where everyone is welcome.

So moving to listen to Brother Phap Huu sharing some of the difficulties he faces as a senior monastic, all the responsibilities involved in so many aspects that need to be overseen and taken care of, and my heart went out to him especially when he identified as a non-academic having to deal with complex issues, implying that he sometimes feels uncertainty. When Joe spoke again and asked him to please guide a meditation to end the talk, I thought, "Oh no, I hope Joe comments on what the Brother just said!", and I'm so happy he did, and so eloquently as well. What a wonderful summary at the end, how wonderful to listen to two men speaking this way about these things. Thank you for sharing.

+1 for feeling vulnerable to correct. Never heard it put that way but it captures how I feel when these moments 🙌 Thanks for your (collective) sharing. Somehow the best podcasts come out of Brother Phap Huu taking a break for a while 😊

Also I think Brother Phap Huu is on Thay's path 😇 Sending you confidence in yourself and the Sangha 🙏 Thanks for being a big (spiritual) brother to us all ✨️ As another commenter has shared, this has helped in refreshing my practice, my beginner's mind so to speak 😌 Thank you Jo for doing your best to represent lay people as best as you can with your questions; you bring out the best in the guests who come on as well as Brother Phap Huu 👏 And our gratitude to everyone who makes this podcast possible 🙌 We see you and effort you put in 💪 Please know we are grateful for you all 🪷

Dear Plum Village Community, I think in any situation, every person has their own way of dealing what happens, and their actions are not based on their trust or any theory that they have learned. That means human are not passive. They can learn a lot in their daily life, they do not need any one teach them to trust

I just listened to a sample of The Sun My Heart read by Brother Phap Huu, made available by my library, and it is wonderful to listen to Thay’s words read by the familiar voice of Brother Phap Huu! I can’t find the audiobook version on the Parallax Press website, but I would very much like to purchase it. Thank you for recording it! 🙏🏻🪷
