It's so enriching to travel back in time through encounters such as these and to learn some details about the time, the happenings, the comings and goings, the way things were transmitted and organised, learning about Thay himself contemplating self-immolation in the context of Chi Mai's decision, and about him teaching Masako Yamanouchi White about Buddhism while chatting casually in a busy mall, what a memory she has!
