Hey guys!
On Saturday, March 2nd, I had the pleasure of visiting the I Me Mine located in Jessieville, Arkansas. This is a brand new mine that will be opening to the public very soon. I had an excellent time and this was my first time getting to meet the owner, Mr. Blake Barnett.
In this video I tried to show what tailings look like, and also what working a couple of different exposed veins will look like. I came for the crystals, but stayed for all of the laughter. Blake and Tommy are hilarious.
The mine will offer tailings digs (tentatively $25), an option to walk all around the premises to pick up material for $100 per 5 gallon bucket, and also pocket digs (not confirmed on pricing for this option).

Thanks for watching, and God bless!

My friend and I were on his property and have been hearing mining going on. I was wondering what it was but it seems I’ve found it lol. Go to the creeks check the slate you’ll find pyrite balls.

Thanks Joe, another solid video. You have such a straightforward and approachable style to your videos, very appealing these days. I actually have been planning to go to Arkansas for the eclipse and crystal hunting for 7 years and because i found you i found out about Pine Ridge. Booked a dig there with my daughter the first week of April and we're beyond excited. Thanks for gettin around and findin the good stuff!

@@joedadbod8450 When we went, it was so hard to find any phantoms.. I just let Mark know about your video. We didn't have much luck.. maybe 2 good singles.

@@themineralmonsters Gah!! I'm so sorry!! Both times I have gone, I did pretty well. This last time with a phantom plate (technically 2), and the first time with a large quartz plate on both front and the back sides. Some single phantoms both trips as well. Some with damage, some were clean. Either way, it was a lot of fun trying to find them!

do you ever pressure wash the rocks or just use a regular water hose? would like to see that process some time

What do you do with all those😮 crystals?
@joedadbod8450
@joedadbod8450 2 дня назад
@@pattisnowden63 I typically keep my favorites, others I will sell to get back dig fees and gas money, and some I give away. Selling some really helps financially (especially in this economy), then it’s like I get a free trip because it pays for itself.

Those are some great pieces, where can I find info about this location?

Thank you! If you’re on Facebook, look for Blake Barnett, he’s the owner of the mine and is currently developing a page for his mine and finalizing liability waivers, etc. It’ll be a few weeks, (maybe more?) before they’re fully operational for multiple diggers to come.

What kind of pressure washer do you use to clean crystals?
@joedadbod8450
@joedadbod8450 4 месяца назад
I do have a pressure washer that I purchased from Lowe’s, but I didn’t use a pressure washer on any of these…yet. Sometimes the pressure washers can knock crystals off the plates, so I held off for this video.

Great!! Tell him I said “Hi”. 👍🤣 Seriously though, I think the sooner folks get there to dig, the better. He’s got a ton of good stuff for all of the tailings and I am guessing spots will fill up fast.

It’s so new it doesn’t have an actual address yet!! Look for the Home Plate Cafe in Jessieville, AR. It’s a few minutes north of that on some of those gravel roads. Maybe ten-ish minutes from Ron Coleman’s? That’s because of driving slower on the gravel roads.

Until then, he’s keeping the address undisclosed until the mine is ready and so poachers won’t be tempted to do something like “I was just looking for my dog on your property” type of thing. If you know where Ron Coleman’s mine is, it’s roughly about 10 minutes from that location, in case you were wanting to gauge drive time, etc. Thanks again for reaching out and I appreciate your understanding for not disclosing the address until he’s ready. 👍

There are THOUSANDS of places to dig crystals in central AR that are free. Only tourists pay to dig free rocks.

Hello, and thanks for the comment and I understand where you’re coming from….but…from my perspective, I live a good 3.5 hours away, and was invited to come at dig at this location. I had a lot of fun here and had no issue digging at this soon to be opened location. One of the great things about pay to dig places, is that you know you’re going to get something. You don’t have to worry about the 25 pound weight limit for digging in the forest, and crystal areas are already identified and ready to be worked, and you can park nearby without having to carry stuff a mile to your vehicle. If I’m driving at least 7+ hours in a day to dig (for the time there and back), I like knowing that I am getting crystals for my effort. If I prospect in public land, I may drive 7+ hours and not bring home a thing. For those of us who don’t live close, it’s worth it to support the mines there, they are good for the economy and bring jobs too. Even for the food industry that profited from me for me being in the area. The mines draw me (and others) in, and we help out more than just the mines, the whole community is better for it. The forest is left more natural without hundreds or even thousands of people who aren’t digging in the forest but in the mines instead. Imagine if everyone over the spring breaks went to dig on public lands instead of the mines…there would be so much trash and disrespect to the land by people who just don’t care. I would encourage you to not look down on the folks go to the mines, but thank them for it, as I think the forest is better off with less people in it who don’t know what they’re doing and are destroying it. 👍

I agree plus it is not so easy for tourist to know what land is permitted if the land is leased (paid for by someone), who has to figure how find a vein (before even prospecting begins). I do have friends that have paid a lot of money in the bids to own the mineral rights (after the work of prospecting in the woods) to maybe get the sealed bid to then have the yearly fees. Even worse is they spend yet more 10’s of thousands on equipment and work their asses off to quarry out the rock for locals to go and thieve it away. Some “tourist” experienced or not as ourselves are mindful and respectful to all these aspects. I personally don’t like the snakes and hard rock removal rather surface collecting and digging through tailings. My strong men love the real mining so we compromise with mines that have some walls. Fews days ago they worked on a nice giving wall at fisher within the regular digging fee area. Next twin creek same deal, then the free one cyrstal vista no surfacing will have to strain myself. And yes tourist help a lot of regular working people make a living. Now researching how this mine operates! Want to check it out!!!
