You deserve a million subs. Great content. Simple yet realistic without put on in the way grab your food and devour it with gusto. Walang kyeme at pa social social sumubo sa sarap ng Pinoy food.
I find this vlog series quite refreshing ❤Good to know there are still kababayans abroad who are still longing for the Filipino culture whether in the form of food or whatnot! Mabuhay!
Kaloka I didn't know that Pobre is a Filipino fusion restaurant! Me and my fellow pinay nurses passed by this restaurant at Kamppi a few times when we were looking for this Chinese restaurant that we wanted to eat at! Bago palang kami dito non and we were dying to eat something familiar! Thank you for this! Helsinki is just one bus ride from our city. Puntahan namin yun next time. Kiitos ja moikka! 😊
What an awesome project! Agree we should support Filipino restaurants where we can. Often times we can get negative about how a dish wasn’t authentic, but it’s a way to attract new people to the cuisine and put a twist to something traditional. I’ll be tuned in to your journey!
Hey Ron. Greetings from New York City. I was in Kamalig when I visited Helsinki a few years ago. Nice vlogs and I love your project of exploring the Filipino restaurants in Europe. Keep up the good job.
Ron, Hats Off. I'm really impressed about your vlochopped pigs face with snout and earsg. May I suggest for the interest of non-Filipino, it would be nice to provide some backgrounds on the food that you ordered i.e., kare-kare (ox tail, etc.) sisig (chopped pigs face with snout and ears, etc.), kaldereta (a goat meat stew. You know what I mean already. Try to interview the owners, get their years in the business, why focus on this and that. In essence, you are providing a whole cosmopolitan...reaching out your vlog not only to Filipino diaspora but European folks married to Filipino nationals. Reach out to me for more ideas and directions. I'm a global professional management and IT consultant with former clients like Nestle, the UN, Coca-Cola, Ford, Ontario Hydro, Pemex Gas (Mexico), Canadian Tire, etc.
Katulad mo, may time na nagcrecrave din ako ng pinoy food dito sa europe. Subscribing to your vlog para magkaroon ng idea and guide. Thanks. By the way, may isang pinoy restaurant dito sa warsaw, in-case mapadaan ka.
Hey!👋 I grew up in Sweden. Everytime I long for filipino food, I cook it myself like adobo, pancit, lumpia, dinuguan etc. But I am longing for vegetables stews like authentic pinakbet or diningding 😢
Camalig also means the storage area for produce. Big old houses have these in their yards, usually made of adobe. That's where the grains are stored before milling, in the olden days.
