Finding hidden gems in Seoul. ✨🏙️
#Seoul #SouthKorea #Olympicpark #StarfieldLibrary #BanpoBridge #RainbowBridge
We’re spending the day exploring everything Seoul has to offer south of the Han River and exploring a few of the more hidden gems. After grabbing a bite to eat in Myeongdong (kimchi dumplings and Isaac Toast), we’re headed to Seoul’s Olympic Park. The Olympics were held here in 1988 and the remnants were turned into a huge green space. We rent a surrey and explore the sculptures. Then we’re headed to the famous Starfield Library at the COEX Mall to peruse the books and go window shopping. The grand finale is the Banpo Rainbow Bridge. 🌈

Olympic Park, Starfield Library, and Banpo Rainbow Bridge | Seoul, South Korea | September, 2022
Hey guys! 😄 We’re Marshall and Aimee, an American couple who dropped everything to travel the world. 🗺 After a long wait through COVID and after saving for years, we finally left for a year of world travel in December of 2021. ✈️ Since we met, our mission has been to “see the world through each others eyes”. 👀 That includes the eyes of the amazing people (and animals) we meet on the road! We strive for budget travel and love finding interesting ways to save money while traveling. 💵 Recently we’ve been housesitting our way through Europe! 🐶🐈

We loved the bike! 😄 It was a little hard to maneuver but it was fun. Glad you thought that Olympic Park was cool because we did too!

Great vid.. Glad to see the Olympic Park is still used, because the stadium has not been. Main issue being is not many sports want an oval (other than cricket and Aussie Rules) so unfortunately Korea's stadium has had limited usage other than some 2nd/3rd tier football teams and concerts.

That’s so interesting! Thanks for sharing! It looked like they were setting up for a concert that day although not all the stadiums were being used. 😊 It was a beautiful area regardless!

I just watched your video and this is my question. What subway station did you stop going to to rainbow bridge and how many minutes walking. Thanks.

We got off at Sinbanpo station and walked for about 30 minutes I would say! There’s really no quick way to get to the bridge by subway unfortunately. But if you’re willing to walk it’s worth it! 😊
