I was a semi pro golfer and nobody talks about cameras and 1000s of people watching. I remember having a small wedge and had to find a place to dig it out. It’s a different ball game. We love you Eagle

Ego death is a beautiful thing! You're on the right path being present. Meditate and sit with the jealous vibes and other negative vibes that come up. Breathe through it and start looking back on when you first felt that way. Eventually you'll find the source of the negative and then you’ll just need to have a mantra to help you drop it entirely. Ive had to do this myself when I reached major levels as a DJ. You know you're one of the best at something, but being present, humble and honest in that environment is the next level. Good for you, you're figuring it out while you're young! And all yall pros go through a slow momentum build when coming back from an injury. Totally common. But i understand where FOMO on your season and not being on those lead cards is gonna irk you. That's what a great competitor does! Cheering for you, man!

Stay in the moment and remind yourself, you have done this before, just a different moment. It’s cool to hear someone like you talk about these things because I think lots of us go through them. I moved far away for college (AK to IA 😂) and it’s been really tough, this weekend I traveled to another state for an A tier and had that same panic attack feeling like my world was crashing down and I needed to go home. Like always, those feelings passed but everyone goes through them!

Great blog Eagle! Your thoughts about being present, really resonate with me. I’ve been playing rounds alone for the last few weeks and playing really well for me. I played a round with my friend yesterday and didn’t play too well. I think when I’m out by myself, I’m totally focused. When my friends are with me, I lose my pre shot routine and my game suffers. I definitely need to learn to maintain focus regardless of the circumstances. Look forward to seeing you play more tournaments this season Eagle! Thanks for the advice.

By being a competitor ofc you need an edge. You say you have jealousy and use it or smth like that. You are so real with yourself and know where youre at in your recovery but be one with the claw instead of philosophy and realize you throw that thing better than anyone. You have a new wing, there's been a storm, but it's time to soar!

I like your mindset to get the practice in and go through your routine. If it ends up to be a bad shot, you went through your routine and that's all anyone can ask for! I guess we could compare it to free throws in basketball. I am commenting as a random stranger, and for what it is worth, I have a lot of respect for that mindset. That's cool you're with MVP now! OTB was a difficult coarse. Top 13 is respectable against great competition. Look at all the greats this year. They all are struggling to get back on top. I think you are on the right track with looking for a balance with your competitiveness. We all have a dark side to us. It’s good to take a peak at what is underneath.

Forget the jealousy and focus on yourself and you will strive, we all get in our heads too much at times. Love what your doing and stay vegan my friend.

The only jealousy I get from time to time is having a body that isn’t built for disc golf, that I will never be able to drive 400+ft because I have a short wing span, small hands, and wear and tear.

Eagle, if I may humbly suggest …Stop thinking, you’re still you. Visualize every tee, each possible disc selection, possible weather conditions, etc., while falling to sleep, each night before the next day’s round. i think your issue is you grip the disc too hard.. i took your advice for years... grip the disc at 70% but that destroyed my elbow and my accuracy was sub par.. once i went to 10% grip strength my disc flies smoother , longer and more accurate ohhh and i dont have pain afterwards.. try it man!
