The fish at 1:23:11 terrified me when I first saw it as a kid. The size, the blank eyes, the sharp teeth, and especially that tongue. The whip like sound effect and just the length of it with how far it could reach freaked me out. The tongue is practically double its own size. I avoided that fish as much as I could to get it away from the screen. The other thing is the fact that it wasn't even in the movie and was an original enemy to this game. While the angler fish didn't scare me when I was a kid, as I know it did to others, at least that was in the movie so it was expected to be in the game unlike this fish. It doesn't scare me anymore though and just looks weird now.
@@kevinuribe318: _"bruh for real ! This happened to me too I hated these fish so much due to how creepy they looked to me when I was a kid."_ I’m glad to see someone else shares the same _“traumatic”_ experience I had with this game.
Bruh this is hardcore nostalgia fr. The sounds and music are a blast from the past. I never finished the game but once I fucked around w the passwords and randomly put mopy and it actually worked. It unlocks all the levels I think
What took me so long to beat it as a kid was that this game didn't allow you to save your progress and just gave you a new password every time you completed a level, which I never wrote down. I beat it on my ds like five years later.
MrLuettgen lol i played this when i was like 6/7 and i never managed to beat the game, the only thing i remember was a level where u had to escape from a shark which was vey hard and i only managed to get there. I didnt play anymore on my gba since then. Now, the gba its probably hidden somewhere (it didnt work anymore after a few years so i stopped playing with it) so i will probably never complete it. Its very sad cuz this was my first game ever and its kinda sad i didnt complete it.
My fondest memory of this game was when i played this at a friends house It was already late and she was really tired. While i was playing the abyss level (where you have to dive down to get the mask) she fell asleep to the calming music It was kind of peaceful though. Our parents found us in her room, she sitting there dozing off and me sitting near, still happily playing
This game is special to me because it's the first GBA I ever owned and played. I remember when the GBA launched my dad brought me home an indigo GBA and a copy of this game.
Honestly I’m ashamed to have played so many movie tie-in games as a kid like damn I missed out on so much good shit playing this and the spongebob movie game
This was the first video game I have played. I remember it was my 6th birthday. Before I went off to primary school for the day, I got the Nintendo SP from my parents.
Thank you for this video! Very strong feeling of nostalgia 🥲. I went through it several times as a child! This game is a real masterpiece. It was made with strong warmth! Very dramatic. I remember when I was a child, music touched me to the core! And now no less.
The memory game used to give me anxiety, and every time I lost that mini game, it was so dramatic and scary how it would end. The mini games for Gill were a nightmare to beat and don't even get me started on finding dory in the jellyfish part. My older brother had to find her for me 😫
This is some good nostalgia. Idk why but sometimes the game freaked me out at certain times. especially the part where you have to find Dory in all the jellyfish, and her sprite once you found her just looked unsettling to me.
Remember when my friend let me borrow her Gameboy for a few days I loved playing this game and I would like to play it again. This Mario and sonic were the best!
I had this console but i never knew that it was gameboy. I really liked it and later thought that it was just some off brand console but today i realised that i had gold in my hands as a kid. The reason i didn't know what it was is because i got it from my family from U.S. and it wasn't even packed or anything. It came with finding nemo, spongebob and probably some other games i don't remember. I really regret throwing it away. So many good memories.
Was just thinking about this game for the first time in years. The music that plays when you hang on the title screen is so nostalgic and comforting. Wonder if I still got my copy, heh
Okay but can I just say that going through these comments is hilarious and relatable! We all ( basically all) thought it was hard, frustrating and couldn’t beat it. 😂 and if you beat it you are a god teach me the ways bec I still have this game
I'm surprised by all the comments. Because I did beat it as a child. I always thought the game is easy. Because I'm a noob. I usually suck when it comes to video games. But this game was so easy. So I never thought I'm a God or anything. I wish I could teach you. A password I remember is BIIC. It unlocks most levels. Maybe that helps. ^^
I'm glad you said that, This is the worst Pixar game I ever played (trust me, I can't beat that level where Marlin is following Dory), good graphics, terrible controls, horrible dialogue, impressive music, and unplayable stages (I'm glad the home console version and the actual film is better than this) Edit: YKW? When you're looking at a portable Finding Nemo game as it's own thing, it's actually pretty good
Damn this is crazy looking back on. 😅 I think i stopped at the tank because i didn't know what to do. I can picture myself right now sitting on my grandparents couch at like 2am playing nemo on a Gameboy advance... Good times. 🥹 I wish I could go back.
I played this game but I gave it to that stupid kid across my backyard and also that spongebob game I had and a Harry Potter game along with a wario game and dogz and I had Kirby and Pokémon that’s all I remember having I think that’s all I actually had though but I don’t remember so I hope they make time travel real one day so I can get my game boys back cause I do actually miss them
Wow, I thought I missed this game, but seeing footage of it, I never want to play it again. Looks awful. And that Bruce chase isn't any less terrifying either.
Many nice memories with this game but what still puzzles me is the instruction manual which described the levels as being completely different, for example in the first level it says you're meant to follow Marlin 🤔
16:28 yeah I know your Frustrations this level Right Here is very Hard Trying to swim away from Bruce was a pain to play for Sure 😥, Good thing I Finally made It through that part
Had this when I was 4 but never knew what to do or where to go in levels. Hell, I replayed this game a few years ago as a grown person and gave up because the maze levels are that awful.
