Kayla, my sister had two miscarriages and a tubal pregnancy. They went through IVF. My sister got pregnant with her first, a boy. When he was six months she got pregnant with fraternal twins. Two more boys. We said the twins were in bunk beds and the bigger one on top was squishing the bottom baby. They were born at 37 weeks in good health. The six lb twin went home right away. The smaller twin, 4 lbs stayed in the NICU a week to get to 5 lbs before they let him go home. The first boy was 15 months when the twins arrived. When they brought the first baby home he told my sister to take it back. Then, after a week they went and brought home a second baby. 😊 I don’t know how my sister did it but she nursed and pumped for four months.

I have been where you are right now finding out I was having twins. My twins however are now 26 years old. I am curious as to how did they determine if they are not identical? The reason I'm asking is because when I was pregnant the doctor told me they were not identical because they were in different sacs. I found out when they were about a year old that they were identical by DNA testing. We suspected as much because they looked it but the doctor saying them being in different sacs is what threw me off. I have since learned that identical twins can be in different sacs and even have different placentas, it's according to how early the egg splits into two embryos. All the research I've done has stated this. I believe the only way to be 100% sure unless they are different sexes is by genetic testing during pregnancy (either with amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling) or by testing afterbirth. Either way congrats, being a mom of multiples is a unique experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

congrats. When my daughter was pregnant with her son as soon as she tested positive she ate like crazy. I told her she needed to slow down. So at 11 weeks she had her 1st ultrasound and she had twins but 1 had passed away at 8 weeks. We always wonder what that one would have been. So I'm praying for healthy babies. Your mom sounds like I would have sounded if the twin had made it. But still so excited she had Jacob

I've said Congrats before a couple times, but Congratulations again!!🎉🎉 Wow..3 in diapers 😮 Glad you three got to have a getaway together. 😀 My niece had twins and you would never know it...they are very different in heights, one has dark hair and is bigger, and the other one's a toothpick with blonde hair..both girls. Watching your journey is going to be so fun! I went around telling my Husband and kids "Kayla's having twins Wahoo" 💕
Friends of our family they went to the very last doctors visit and the doctor told them they were having twins the doctor was even surprised their hearts were so in sink and behind each other he thought as just one big baby

Spend much time with aspen and interact with her lots more before twin come because it will be chaotic and you be busy with the twins and probably won’t able to spent time with her when having twin
